Google bringing out own browser !!!

I played around with it for a couple minutes, but honestly, without Adblock plus (FF add-on) surfing sites is simply a pain. Back to FF and won't go back without an Adblock-like feature. With Chrome being open source I hope it's only a matter of days.

US Dollar & Ben Bernanke: From Zero to Hero?

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=ax1Bf7KaoSs0&refer=home Sept. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke has gone from a dollar liability to an asset, sparking a rally that even bears say shows few signs of ending. While the U.S. Dollar Index fell to a...

It's Official: Microsoft Vista Sucks. Just ask Microsoft Execs.

    Here's a video of your typical ultra-l33t Linux geek, reviewing KDE 4. Watch this, you'll see what I mean :D <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KRvBAwNji5A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed...

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

Exactly! That's how the Soviet Union worked and boy was their 'middle class' rich and wealthy!!! I think their blowup in the 1989/1990 was just a historical fluke and not an economic implosion!

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

The US is a great place for entrepreneurs; partly because it is a huge market, let's not forget that. I just wouldn't be too sure the US' position in process of transparency and access to capital can't be challenged. The process has begun a long time ago.

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

You bring up an excellent point. All things equal, ease of access to capital (plus quality of the financial and banking system) and government transparency and the level corruption are probably factors highly predictive of GDP per capita. However, I don't believe the mere fact of having a...

Google bringing out own browser !!!

Starts nice and fast. Obviously, doesn't have any addons/extensions (yet?). I am missing my Adblocker from FF and I have a feeling Google doesn't have a big incentive to port one to Chrome :) Also, Roboform doesn't work with it, againt not whining as this is no surprise. Flash is working fine...

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

Investing into education is a painful exercise, especially its a hard sell for politicians as the potential pay-off is far in the future. There are no immediate benefits of improving highschools or universities while the higher bills and costs have to be paid immediately. Tough for the poor...

Cheap Products vs. High Wages... Americans Want BOTH!

I have to ask though: How much money has the US as a society invested into basic research, universities, schools and other educational tools in order to further human capital over the last 25 years (in comparison to Europe and Asia)? You can't expect the middle class to double their median...

It's Official: Microsoft Vista Sucks. Just ask Microsoft Execs.

Most people do not wish to spend hours recompiling kernels or finding that new diff patch ín order to make their printer work. Linux is and always will be a geek system which is great for 16 year old l33t haxx0r kids but nothing most casual computer users would ever use at home on their desktop.

Is it? Here are desktop OS stats survey by querying Web browser platforms, from the beginning of 2008: I am hearing 'Linux is taking over' since around 10 years now (probably since the Redhat IPO). Nothing has changed. Linux has never been a desktop platform, and most likely will never be.
