    ES Journal - 2019/2020

My best bet for today is that we'll hold above yesterday's LOD, so I'll be stalking long entries if we can hold above 93,50 or 3200. My crystal ball is however fuzzy with regards to the upside. 3250 is not unlikely today. That's only 0,58 % net change. Could be an inside day, too. Scratch all...

    Joining the CME gang

I don't think anyone would be able to back-engineer any strategy just from looking at your executions. Let's say I posted a few charts showing I bought the LOD and sold the HOD. How do you back-engineer that? Or showing a few charts where I sell highs and buy lows continuously with a higher...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Exited my longs @ 14,75 on a perhaps too aggressive trailing stop. I still think 3220 is in the cards, but not willing to sit through a deep retrace.

Got stopped on that one for a scratch, but got back in at the same price when support held. Will probably hold it like this. It's my view that we're currently retracing/flagging before the next push higher to 15-20, but I'm not very, very confident. Just confident. :)

Long from 03. Stop @ 99. EDIT: Make that 98. I'm wary of a sell coming anytime soon now, but I'm betting we're good for at least one final swing higher up to 3220 or so. EDIT 2: Putting my stop @ B/E. Will rather re-enter if stopped. Might pullback lower still.

Target, @Spooz Top 2 ? Struggling a bit with this 3210 level. I'll be happy with 3215 if we get that.

Generally, odds do favour a swing above 3210 and even a Close above. Maybe 3220-25 if 3210 is taken out.

    NQ nearly green now.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Anyone bearish today? It's my view that we're putting in a bottom here. Just not sure if we're there yet. Might go all the way down to 90. Of course, I may be dead wrong too.

10 point retrace here. NQ almost back down to test the breakout from Friday. Might be good for a bottom.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Nice charts! Thanks. Will have to study later. I feel we've been overbought quite some time now. :) I'm also cautious, but will be stalking long entries if we can push above 3210 and hold above on an eventual retrace. Might make a run for 3250 today. Failure to hold 3210 and I'll be looking...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Last week closed up + 4,98 % net. That's a decent weekly move and well above the norm (excluding two other outliers off the lows this year). A 6,4 % gain from Friday's Close takes us back to ATHs on ES.

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

Actually, it was a volume chart. It's pretty much the only way I 'use' volume. I haven't yet found any edge using volume myself, but then again, I have not studied it in depth or yet found any reason to believe a huge edge can be found using it. That's not saying it does not exist. Clearly you...

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

That's really impressive, IMO. Well done! Your comments regarding volume are interesting. Never studied it too much myself. Might have to give it some study. I suppose this originates from Hershey? Does this include drawdown on unrealized profits, too? To include an example of my own from...

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

Hi, tiddlywinks, Thank you for your post. Mind me asking what you typically capture of the RTH range on your winning days? There's a large gap between the theoretical potential of my system/methodology/calls and what I currently take, but I hope to bridge the gap eventually. For now, I'm...

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

For what it's worth, I netted 25 ES points yesterday. That's approx. 60 % of the RTH range, but only 5,6 % of the total offer on the day (448,25 points). Admittedly, a bit of an outlier result for me as per my recent approach/results, but I had confidence in the trade and decided to press it. I...

    Pre market high/low levels

The index values are calculated from 09:30/16:00, yes? I consider everything outside of that as extended trading hours (ETH).

    What's a worthwhile daily take on the e-mini S&P 500?

The interesting thing is that he used a fair bit of analysis to get that point. He certainly did not just enter. But he was usually done in the first 30-60 minutes. He never told me what his average stop was, but the problem with the '1 point per day method' is that you're really vulnerable to...

How much capital per ES w this strat

If your R/R is 1:1 and your winrate is 50 % your expectancy is zero prior to commissions, so basically net negative. A slower trading frequency only means it will take you a longer time to lose money compared with a higher trading frequency. Since you don't seem to yet have any back-tested...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

You definitely need a bit of conviction to do well in this game, but too much of it can be a bad thing too. Not saying this applies to him, but I've seen some people on these boards who simply can't admit to being wrong and by the time the top or bottom is in they blew their account.
