Bernanke: There's No Housing Bubble to Go Bust - October 27, 2005

He shouldn't really be allowed out without his schoolteacher Mom, not with horrid bankers bullying him to lower interst rates so they can avoid insolvency at the expense of the Nation. If he continues to talk out of his @rse with statements like that and his"contained" buffoonery/lie then his...

Food And Energy Costs Are Going Through The Roof In The Last Month Alone!

Thuis article sums up nicely the fact that rate cuts have done virtually nothing to solve the problems in the credit markets so we have inflation and a weak USD all for nothing because of the academic buffoon, or more likely because he was cutting to allow an upward revaluation of balance bank...

Banks urged to give underwater homeowners money...

Good point. Can't pay yur mortgage? Sell your stocks, your 60" widescreen, SUV, Boat, Harley etc for the going rate. Good principle, but they were probably bought on credit too, and the resale market for granite kitchen tops is probably saturated...........................

Fed funds futures suggest 75 basis point rate cut by March 18 now a certainty

This is why they will cut. They are using cuts to try and maintain balance sheet solvency in the banking sector in the hope that a major bank won't reach a situation where it can't deny it is anything other than technically insolvent (negative equity)...

Metastock Quotecenter carries ASX stocks and options. $135/month for an institutional grade data and charting package. There are others for ASX and other main Asian markets- Quotepower?? I found eSignal Asian data was corrupt and I doubt they have fixed it.

The decision to liquidate immediately despite adverse market effect and the possiblity to recover is I suspect more a corporate politics/job preservation decision than a market take decision. If you hold back from liquidating and it goes against you the question will by why didn't you liquidate...

Whats the point of cutting rates

Stopped myself out of what would have been some nice shorts on the CNBC/Public rate cut mania. It is important not to underestimate just how stupid the public are. Decided after that to confine my shorting to puts, but unfortunately Oz puts are not quoted far out enough.

Whats the point of cutting rates

The function of the Fed is to assure banking profits. By not passing on the lower interest rates banks improve their spread and thus profit margins. This happens every time in every market. If Bernanke is such an academic buffoon that he did not know this there is no hope. I would rather believe...

ALL Americans should see this question to FED Bernanke

Capitalism is dependent on the consumption of manufactured goods, war is the most efficient means of consumption yet devised. K. Marx He may have had a point bearing in mind that defence manufacturing still takes place in US. Defence contracters shareprices have not exactly been hurting...

Rogue trader cost MF Global $142M

SEC reaction will probably be to regulate trades by retail traders trading from home. We will probably have to run our trades past our brokers compliance dept before we can put it on.
