    FRE and FNM

Relax, Bernanke and Paulson say that they are adequately capitalised. It is all contained. How silly to think that they would lie to you and that you would find out on Monday that the entire equity had been written down to $0.01

    Fannie and Freddie

When was the last time since their formation after the Great Depression that FRE and FNM were insolvent, or is this another first under the current 'idiot frat boy'/'Academic Buffoon' administration?

New Equity Regulations Coming this Monday

Investment gurus got annihilated in the last 12 months

These days people label themselves as 'value' investors if their strategy is to buy something that is down from its high and therefore 'cheap'. That is not 'margin of safety' value investing, but using the word 'value' probably helps with the real business of asset gathering.

Why is "ADD" called a disorder, let alone "treated"?

Agree absolutely, especially about blaming the parents. My parents were just not the people I could have learned my former bad attitudes from. I actually find some of the comments made here by people who clearly do not have this in themselves or their family to be irritating and offensive.

Why is "ADD" called a disorder, let alone "treated"?

I was actually talking about ADHD most of the time. It can frequently occurr with Autism - specifically Aspergers Syndrome. While there is no doubt in my mind that ADD/ADHD exists as a condition, specifically a "profile" (as opposed to disorder", I also agree that ADHD has become something of...

Why is "ADD" called a disorder, let alone "treated"?

Agree with much of this, but it seems difficult to become completely sympton free for any great length of time. It comes and goes depending on how much effort you are putting in to counter it but also it seems on a cycle beyond the control of that effort. Sometimes when I read out loud I slur my...

Why is "ADD" called a disorder, let alone "treated"?

Can't help but feel you are conusing a wider mailaise within society with a very specific condition. I got NO breaks from parents who had been exposed to and obvercome real hardship or teachers (my school was identical with the one portrayed in Pink Floyd's The Wall) and am glad that at least...

Why is "ADD" called a disorder, let alone "treated"?

Disagree, I am sure being a pain in the ass kid is often misdiagnosed as ADD but its a condition and one you have to actively struggle against. I was 43 before I could pinpoint what my problem was, or rather obtained revelation as to what my problem was. Once I recognised that I was struggling...
