Interactive Brokers just removed $100,000+ from my account

Agreed, but IB needs to do a better job of QA and fixing bugs in a more expedient manner.

Interactive Brokers just removed $100,000+ from my account

This is "classic" IB. I remember my last Mutual Fund trade liquidation resulted in a nasty-gram from IB indicating I didn't have the authorization for the trade. However, it did happen.....when I called them to ask them why I got the message, they had no clue !!! It obviously was a bug.

Massive Market Upspike? (Opposite of a Crash)

Fed rate hike is on-the-way.....any thoughts of a "Crash-up" are likely to be doused.

Opening account with Interactive Brokers as S Corp

Exactly....it's just been crazy in the Washington bureaucracy during the Obama administration. Hopefully, Trump will just eliminate it...i.e. the IRS, the SEC, the EPA. All of these agencies are so cost-unjustified, it's just nuts. The cost FAR outweighs the benefits....a good businessman would...

Opening account with Interactive Brokers as S Corp

A waste of time....I'll bet one in one hundred of these forms ever get action taken. Reason: The IRS is spread so thin today.

    Or "NumberOneTrader" ?

    No1Trader.com domain for sale

These "squatters" who bot these domains years ago in the speculation that someone would want them are total parasites and extortionists. They should be banned from the internet.

Opening account with Interactive Brokers as S Corp

Yes, I have...but it was no big deal. I agree with Morris, you can't live your life in fear of the IRS. Plus, they've been crippled by budget cut-backs....chances of audit are much lower now compared to 10 years ago.

Opening account with Interactive Brokers as S Corp

The LLC set-up was a breeze. What's the advantage of an S-Corp anyway ?

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

Of course....those cockroaches.....have to be paid. And, of course, that was the plan all along....to make sure Nav couldn't trade again..,..

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

That's great news...at least Nav has some funding to continue to trade.

Should I move to Tradestation ?

What ? They're still spending a TON of $$$ on advertising...that's obvious. Of course, Interactive Brokers is likely eating into their customer base.

    REITS - what's the outlook ?

Zandty - you are losing cred....the top was in 4 months ago...I got out a little late, but not as late as those who would be bailing out now. Rates are now "sticky". I wouldn't touch REITS.

I have 38 emini sp500 Dec future(ESZ6) short positions, what will you suggest me to do?

Maybe he'll get lucky and the market will go down on the expectation of a fed rate increase. Wow, this guy has at least a 1/2 million dollar account...... IB's overnight margin req for ES puts him out there with $180,000 in margin required. And of course, if the market continues higher, more...

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

This goes to prove that cash is king ! If he had buried a few million somewhere, he'd still be in good shape today. This all comes down to decision theory...MiniMax, MaxiMin, Bayes, etc. Nav should have gone into MaxiMin mode as soon as the CME was onto his techniques. Instead, Nav continued...

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

Yep, no surprise here...he got ROLLED....and made the scapegoat. Everyone on this forum called that. There is no justice in this country..... "Land of the free, and home of the brave" is a load of B.S. Add to that: "With liberty and justice for all"
