Day trading vs swing trading vs investing...

Inverses all over the place, divergence eg LABD best Friday SDOW weakest UVXY SQQQ held up ok.. Re charts I use 1 minute but occasionally check 5minute for hammer or ss etc to confirm pivot

How I'm Trading the Volatility: Live trades (Jan)

Good points... I overtraded inverses post-April because I had some great winning TVIX swingtrades earlier eg bought 56 sold 940 plus daytrading before and during march selloff. Likely you're right re mid January or later before a drop. I'm using loss of sp 3550 support to trade size...

Day trading vs swing trading vs investing...

Both swing and daytrading, though I think there's good potential in daytrading where you buy the open sell the close. No overnight gap risk and no need to scalp open range breakouts. Key is tightening trailing stop midday to protect vs noon reversals.

Guru's pursuit of the Holy Grail

Biggest game changer when trading SPY etc is religiously using the TRIN. Trin > 1.5 = short bias Trin < .7 = long bias Trin near 1 = stay clear Test it, you'll be impressed

    Future of Options?

I agree re an eye-opener to realize the significance of gap volatility in s&p chart. Intraday ranges have been tight with almost no daylong strong trends. So daily gappers and percent gainers plus low float ACY BTBT type charts are where intraday volatility is. Or for swings, great trends...

Lie of the Year: Coronavirus downplay and denial

The one thing I DO agree on is incompetence of government and many people on tv etc. But the virus is very real, and deadly. Two very different truths. Look at how slowly and incompetently they're getting the vaccine distributed...which I agree not sure if it's safe. I largely distrust...

Lie of the Year: Coronavirus downplay and denial

I'm shocked that there's so many people who refuse to wear masks etc with daily deaths skyrocketing and hospitals and morgues overflowing. Seriously wtf. I get the whole proud independent shtick, but this is an emergency situation. Young people are dying too. America the proud, America...
