    TradersSecrets Review

Here is what I have found over the years, maybe its just me. People that worry excessively about the psychology of trading and those who have shit fits when they experiance a normal drawdown (less than about 20%) tend not to last very long. Those who have a winning attitude and confidence in...

    HARD Drop!

The Fed cuts have had no effect what so ever. The market is much lower than when the cuts began, and the reason is simply that the low rates, cheap dollar, increasing US debt, high commodity prices are all tied in together and part of the problem. Its not a problem we can fix by lower and lower...

    what just happened?

I see some things that are interesting. Housing stocks might be sold out, TOL did not sell of nearly as much as it "should" have today on its news. The sector overall has been strong over the last few weeks and I've been waiting for a good buy setup. Ditto transports, JBHT, CSX etc. Currently...

    what just happened?

hmmmm...maybe a bear market? We continue to have increases on very light volume and declines on relatively heavier volume. The market lacks any clear bullish theme to follow at this point. Until those two things change, nothing will.

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

My comment was not about the RE bubble, which has popped in places where it was a bubble, other places never got so bubbly, and so have had no reason to "pop". My comment was about your general misunderstanding of economics.

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

Ive pontificated on tax stuff numerous times here on ET. If I was king of the world I would start off by lowering capital gains tax. At the very least allow people to discount inflation from the gains tax that is paid, but ideally cut them at least in half. Short term capital gains same thing...

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

How is that "conspiracy theory". Anyhow who took econ past the high school level, or for that matter just has a bit of common sense, knows that what gnome said is true. If you have inflation, the average person's buying power goes down, as the currency is debased buying power goes down even...

With few exports and high interest rates Europe will go into a deep recession?

Agree about the Mexicans in the US. They have a similar value structure to us, and I don't really see them as being all that dissimilar to the Irish, Italians, Greeks etc that came in years past. However, the Muslims going to Europe do not share a culture with the societies they are entering...

This site needs to stop it with this bull/bear crap

I actually find it all both amusing and helpful, more amusing. Some posters are obviously cheerleading a bull or bear, and they will regardless of the evidence in front of them.

Rational Thoughts in an Irrational World

On Tuesday surprisingly bad service sector data did the market in before it really even had a change to get going. American markets joined their global cousins in a route. The Dow Industrials lost 370 points, closing at 12,265.13, while the Nasdaq lost over three percentage points, down 73.28...

With few exports and high interest rates Europe will go into a deep recession?

One of the biggest problems the EU is going to have is Demographics, and too much social spending going to non productive parts of the population. Of course we have a lot of politicians in the America who want to turn us into Europe and give us more problems than we already have. Brandon
