Market has topped on 2019/11/07. Get the hell out now.

Well hopefully your trading indicator package would have had many more long entries than shorts. Just using long term trendlines or incorporating them into your existing strategy would have kept you on the right side up 95% of the time. My chief criticism are traders sitting on their hands for...

Market has topped on 2019/11/07. Get the hell out now.

All of this dribble is so nonsensical. You don't need to "call a top". You get a sell signal on your trading indicator package, you confirm it, and you short the market. You can take 75% of a move out of the market with that strategy if you're lucky with your profit target.

    Who are the market makers?

Only the exchange or the counter party knows. Anyone else who tells you differently is blowing smoke. Could be another spec(s) working an offer, could be a market maker(s) working an offer, could be a combination of parties.

    Who are the market makers?

Who "fills it" or who takes the other side - usually two different things.

    Who are the market makers?

By taking liquidity, big specs fill resting orders. And big specs are the primary motivation behind price discovery. For example, if Amazon opens at $1891.77, and a big pension fund puts in an order to sell a block of 30K shares at $1893.00 thirty minutes before the open - it's almost...

    Who are the market makers?

Big speculators take liquidity. Big specs who, for example, are consistently lifting offers show themselves as a bullish bias on the chart. Market Makers make liquidity and they are not apparent on any chart. In a perfect world for Market Makers - the market wouldn't move.

    Who are the market makers?

Having personally done my fair share of professional market making, RM's chart proves nothing about Market Maker core positions.

    Who are the market makers?

For your thesis to be true, MM's would have to quite literally know in advance where the market is going in the short term. Which is of course false. And how exactly do brokers "work the market" ? All they care about is selling your order flow and taking a commission (although they are...

    Who are the market makers?

I'm amazed at how many people use terms without knowing what they mean. Quite literally - Market Makers Bid and Offer. They buy bids and sell offers. That's it. They don't carry core speculative positions. The core positions that they do carry are due to a bias from those participants...

    Who are the market makers?

X2. Market Makers have NO opinion on market direction. They buy bids and sell offers.

    Markets are impossible to predict

I understand completely, and that’s the problem with Inter Market correlations (and inverse correlations) where there isn’t a sound fundamental similarity with the underlying. They work until they don’t. For example, in terms of positive Gold correlators - there’s a difference between Gold vs...

    Markets are impossible to predict

Sounds like an infomercial tag line. Gold and the S&P 500 have not been inversely correlated the past twenty years.

Why on this Planet Earth would you ever assume that a 3 X leveraged Gold Fund isn't the proverbial 'saw that cuts both ways' in terms of risk and volatility ?
