I didn’t look examine his trades in detail and compare to the tape as you apparently did however, some platforms in demo may be different color than when live. But, still the issue of price taker at the market and the fact his order is not going to move (or set) the market one way or the other... -

Probably the color of the platform. Aren’t you assuming he is buying and selling with market orders hence he starts 2 ticks in the hole? But he is using limit orders...... -
