Joe Doaks and ET Develop the Perfect System

Check in with hypost, he may be able to understand what has been going on and explain it to you. There is a common recitation of about 39 steps to becoming a trader. For those that are purposeful it is only about 9 steps to expert. Quant is fun but qual is where a person gets to expert...

    Looking for mentor / guidance

What is your perception of how people running trading businesses make money? There are many models in the spectrum of tading businesses. you mention IB's, brokerages and funds. these sectors seem to be focused on service fees, commissions and profit sharing. Every year it is proven that...

Joe Doaks and ET Develop the Perfect System

As you edit, you are digging a hole. And it is not to put me in. Frankly, you could have been reading thoroughly what I have said. My views are founded and they are substantive. Neither of us needs to point out that there is no one upmanship going on. Certainly you can answer your own...

Joe Doaks and ET Develop the Perfect System

What would it be like if you thought before speaking. No one is going to hold your hand intellectually. At some point you definitely need to reflect on what is possible if a person can think.

Joe Doaks and ET Develop the Perfect System

I agree with you. It may not be possible for a person to do work arounds or inovative circuitry for very efficient or effective trading, but is still may be possible to have a meeting place to consider some almost universal hang ups found in trading approaches. I know this thread is...

Joe Doaks and ET Develop the Perfect System

In trading, there are several successive conditons to be able to consider. As you saw in silvermotion, a lot of the time signals were missed. This puts a person at risk because he is NOT detecting SEQUENCES. HA is a leading indicator of a function "resume". To translate that into Joe...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

And austinp said as well: "You can see market turns on the DOM before you see the price prints on a chart." You will see a lot of b.s. on the dome, too. Learning to filter out reality from phantom orders is a mental lag that brings dome action to par with price bars. When a price bar...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

Sooo true. And the volume on the DOM leads price on the DOM. There are many more pulls on DOM than T&S trades. The DOM is like the approach clubs and front running is like having to putt last because you are closest to the hole (assuming you use clubs as part of playing golf.)..... LOL...

Question about health insurance for full time trader

I read the thread. I am familiar with your situation and my viewpoint is that of a person who has been licensed in the health and other insurance profession in many states. The nearest to you is NY and PA. At this point you need several diffent coverages to take care of the near future...

    Str-squ

General S/S comment. This is a fine tool meaning not medium of coarse). When a person looks at tooling it is always a good idea to note the context of the tool's utility. Support (S), Resistance (R) and pivot point system elements have tool utility in the coarse context. A lot of...
