I'm just curious why you guys are writing posts in MS Word and then pasting that into the editor. MS Word has over 20 characters that are not in the character set used by web browsers.

In terms of going to incorrect pages, it's probably because the search option that says "Show results as" should be set to posts, not threads. It was set as posts on the old site by default, but it's set as threads by default now. I'm going to change that right now though.

The logic is that if you haven't found what you're looking for in the first 500 search results, then you probably need to come up with a better search term.

Usually when youtube doesn't work for me it's because the browser's Flash Player plugin has crashed. But I have also had problems with youtube right after a browser version upgrade as well. I usually use Chrome but when it acts up, I go back to Safari.
