I'll second that. A small flat fee per trade would be acceptable but a 1/4 of a pct per trade would cripple traders and liquidity would disappear... as I would since it would have sucked out 6 figures from me.

A collar is equivalent to a vertical so unless one already holds the underlying or intends to trade the components intraday, the vertical will save on commissions and slippage.

Thanks for the Cliff Notes version of the Augen book :) The expiration pattern intrigued me but I just never seem to find enough time to observe and anylyze it to determine if it has realistic trading possibilities.
