    Big move in futures why?

Market doesn't need news to rally 10% why does it need news to drop 1.2%?

WSJ: SEC Charges Mark Cuban With Insider Trading

Wasn't Cuban that prick that proposed some kinda 5 cent (or was it 50 cent) per transaction stamp duty for US stock exchanges in order to weed out 'illegal speculation' and 'improper trading techniques'? Good riddance.

WSJ: SEC Charges Mark Cuban With Insider Trading

Poetic justice. I hope they make another Martha Stewart of him and throw him in jail over this.

Umm...Yeah...Citigroup to Cut Up to 50, 000 Jobs: CNBC

Reading comprehension: Now re-read what I wrote and tell me how I am giving the news a positive spin. Job cutting is exactly the right answer for a company that overloaded with debt, a disintegrating business model and years of fantasy earnings and revenues that won't ever come back. Pandit...

Umm...Yeah...Citigroup to Cut Up to 50, 000 Jobs: CNBC

Positive spin? Did you read what I posted at all? I said they're way overdue cutting workforce and 50k is way too little, way too late for a company losing billions a quarter with a disintegrating business model.

Umm...Yeah...Citigroup to Cut Up to 50, 000 Jobs: CNBC

Amazingly they still have 300k on the payroll. 50k is a drop of water in a bucket. They should have started cutting their workforce way more aggressively months ago. What the hell is this Pandit clown doing? He didn't raise more money when C was at $20 or even in the high $10s and NOW.. way too...

You come here make a new prediction every week without ever posting a single screenshot as proof of you following your own advice, but are you trading for a living? I didn't think so.

German billionaire got wasted in VW short squeeze

Looks like this poor SOB got wasted, betting the house shorting VW. Could he - and not the dozens of hedge funds and prop desks that probably also took their share of losses - be the single biggest victim of the VW squeeze...

What are the arguments by Peter Schiff?

Ironic thing is Peter Schiff and John Paulson predicted the exact same unraveling of the mortgage market. One guy had a near blowup experience (Schiff), the other guy made billions of dollars in his hedge fund (Paulson). Shows how 'knowing the future before it happens' doesn't necessarily...

    Today's Selloff (No Drama Necessary)

I wouldn't read too much into the "HF redemption" hype. Prime Brokerages already now report record cash levels held by their clients (hedge funds) and record low net long exposures. If a fund is long 100% on their long book and 80% on their short book that gives them a 180% gross leverage and...

What are the arguments by Peter Schiff?

This is what somebody posted in the above Forbes article comments section - he claims to be a customer of Peter Schiff's investment advisory firm. Schiff is on TV 24/7, trying to get unsophisticated investors to invest with him. He pumps his book 'Crash Proof', claiming he has a magic recipe to...
