    I'm going long here

Found this on TSCM, pretty interesting analysis of the 1974 bottom and corresponding news flow. Markets tend to bottom before 'good news', not after the fact. A. June: New car sales drop 24%. B. August: More Watergate disclosures, heavy selling. C. August: President Nixon resigns. D...

Australia Cuts Rate by Most Since 1992; Asian Stocks Rebound

I think at the worst point I saw the AUD down 10%. Insane. Probably a good idea to cut rates to make it less appealing to carry trade housewifes who blow up with 50x leverage and then drive down AUD in margin calls.

CHF 'No longer a safe haven'

Rogers might be one of the few traders (in his own mind) historically that never had a losing trade. Currently, watch him label the blood bath in commodities a 'correction', not a bear market. He continues to claim that commodities are in a long term bull market (Why? Because Jim says...

No rate cut tomorrow, look out below.

You mean like you proclaimed "the inflation trade is back on" or "oil is the new safe haven"??? Do you even trade or just come here to spin your ridiculous theories here once a week?

euro getting tagged again! dollar rising

Nice find. Where are all the Dollar bears that were explaining how the Fed has to perform emergency rate hikes in order to support the Dollar and how the ECB was mastering the situation so professionally?

Germany’s Hypo Real Estate says rescue collapsed

Excuse me, didn't a couple of German 'Landesbanks' go bust? What about IKB? Banks full of corrupt and retired German politicians and fully backed by German taxpayers? And you say there's no squeeze on German banks?

Germany’s Hypo Real Estate says rescue collapsed

Oh no, EUR indicated -1.25% on Globex futures. I thought the conservative German banking system was shielded from the global financial crisis? Where's Mr. 'big mouth' Steinbruck now? "... that the European financial system is superior... oh damn wait, never mind"

Germany’s Hypo Real Estate says rescue collapsed

And fight 'rampant global inflation' I'd say inflation risks must still be considered 'pressing', especially with the EUR coming crashing down faster than a drunk hooker. An emergency 0.5% rate hike could help prevent the oh so scary 'imported inflation'. Now the ECB's feels...

Germany’s Hypo Real Estate says rescue collapsed

Peer Steinbruck (left, socialist German Secretary of Finance) and Dr. Axel Weber (Academic university professor, German Bundesbank President): completely misjudging the situation they're finding themselves in.

Germany’s Hypo Real Estate says rescue collapsed

Call it poetic justice. Europeans and Germans in particular were running their mouth - just two weeks ago with German secretary of finance Steinbruck as their spokesperson - on how Europe is magically dodging the bullet of the global credit crisis and how badly the USA is managing the situation...

Shoud I sell all tech and commodities stocks?

    a) Don't freeze under fire. Don't become paralyzed, once you do you're as good as dead and risk kissing 100% of your life savings goodbye. b) If you're under mental stress because of your positions, take the losses and goto cash on all (half) of your positions. It can clear your head, help you...

    Fertilizer stocks out of favor

You still have no clue. You never made any money on your 'calls' and you never will. I sold all my AG stocks (MOS, CF, TRA, AG) once they breached technical levels between July/August. Well off the highs, but much much higher than they are today. I will buy them back once they (if ever) build a...
