There's nothing bullish about the debt deal though. It's tightened fiscal policy and dollar strengthening. For once fiscal and monetary policy appear to be geared for deflation. We need QE3 to stay afloat and IMO the fed will do it.

You don't raise the debt ceiling you default. That's a no-brainer. However this new deal not only strengthens the dollar but it also inhibits growth. Someone care to explain how we're going to grow without reckless spending? :) For once it seems we're reining in fiscal policy. I just...

All in all out or compound? It's difficult to do both depending upon the strategy. Usually only 1 will work.
