We do not charge for Wedbush Locates. The premium locates have a charge because they are hard to get. Varies based on supply and is set by Velocity. Email me one or 2 symbols that are not threshold stocks are not ETB and I will email you the screenshot.

Is it possible to short shares without borrow available with Interactive Brokers?

Tonyf- this premium locate system that is on top of the free locates that we get from our clearing firm. It is a supplemental premium service. As much as I would like to have two or three of these, velocity meets our needs. Adding multiple ones is more complicated than you would imagine as it...

Reg-T= (>$25K) up to 2X overnight and 4X for Day Trading. PMA = (>$150K but $175K to start) up to 5.56X overnight and up to 6.67X for Day Trading. For accounts over $5mm, we can discuss excess leverage for day trading, Wedbush allows up to 12X and so does Lightspeed with approval from the risk team.

Is it possible to short shares without borrow available with Interactive Brokers?

Velocity Capital's only business is to have relationships that sell them locates. They offer them to broker-dealers which then offer them to customers with the coordination and permission of the clearing broker. Clients on Sterling, RealTick, and Silexx may use the Velocity portal but Lightspeed...

US Equities PreMarket Auctions (4am, 7am)

Per-market and post-market are all limit orders. If they pair, they pair. I'm not sure what happens at 7am.

Is it possible to short shares without borrow available with Interactive Brokers?

Hi tonyf- Regulations require your broker to require you to get a "locate" for any stock symbol not on the easy to borrow list. A locate is not a borrow, but permission to sell short. IF you can't get that, you can look to see if there are options worth using as a short stock replacement. For...

What is the best Money management system

I guess my opinion is the odd man out. I do not expect to change anyone's opinion here, but I will try one more time. I would say that all traders, profitable and not, have created a predictive model. You can do that in an endless number of ways, but in the end, you are attempting to predict the...

What is the best Money management system

Hi themickey-Sorry, But I strongly disagree. I would say that proper trade allocation is part of risk management and come second only to developing a profitable strategy. If you do not have the ability to rate your setups or trades before you decide on the proper allocation, I believe strongly...

Interactive Brokers: webICE and other proprietary platforms

We do not offer Universal accounts but we do offer PMA and many third-party platforms for futures including WebICE. If you prefer to Prime at IB, and they will accept a Give UP agreement, I'd be happy to discuss an execution-only arrangement but I expect we can all your business.

Does Schwab pass MOC exchange fees on to clients?

Each stock is listed on an exchange. Typically NYSE or NASDAQ. Most ETFs and ETNs are on ARCA. These are the primary exchange for that stock or ETF/ETN. Those exchanges have an opening and closing auction to reach a fair price at or near 9:30 am ET or 4 pm ET. This is where most of the volume...

    I don't understand this options

No. If you sell something for $4.95 that rises to $5.00, you don't get to keep the credit money. You get the difference. The difference is a loss. If you bought the spread for 4.95 and it settled ITM, you would profit from the rise to 5.00. It is likely commissions will wipe out most of that and...

Does Schwab pass MOC exchange fees on to clients?

Maverick2608-If you are a current client of Schwab, or any broker that does not provide routing choices like Lightspeed, what is more important than the pass-through of 10 mils for NYSE or 15mils for NASDAQ, is where are they sending those orders and are you part of the opening/closing auctions...

Does Schwab pass MOC exchange fees on to clients?

Good morning ironchef- You have posted a number of times that your broker charges "you" $0.25/option but that is a very discounted rate to their posted rate of $0.65. That said, it is likely those other small nominal fees are ORF, SEC and TAF that come to about $0.04/options. Some brokers pass...
