thanks. I think i will get a second 32gb dimm so i will have dual channel memory. Maybe that's why the 1 dimm was cheaper than the 2. It was weird and I thought i spotted a relative value trade :). Since the window settings, i've had no problems at all.

I have not checked the bios but there was a bios update i had to install. Win 11. The computer is running well now (but i said that at 8am too and at 10am i almost took a hammer to it).

By the specs it is a lot faster. (orders of magnitude). In practice, it's not materially faster other than my risk is calculating faster in excel (2 secs vs 20 secs). I bought it because i needed to separate my trading PC from my day job PC. Too much staring at the markets.
