    Age Restrictions on Prop Firms?

Bob, JBOs are GONE. I'm talking about getting a real job. He can make 65k base a year in Chicago with 20% to 40% bonus payout plus health insurance and learn from the smartest people in the world how to trade. Or he can take the 25k he saved up and trade it into the ground plotting trend...

Is covered call writing on dividend stocks the holy grail for the semi risk averse investor?

No different then selling naked puts. It's a terrible strategy on so many levels. For one, the calls are going to have ZERO premium in them because they price out the divy. Two, you are giving away the upside. So if you get called away, what do you do, rush in and buy the highs? Or stay out...

    Age Restrictions on Prop Firms?

Bob, "if" a 19 year old has 25k, let him go to a prop firm. If by some chance he does have that kind of money at that age, blowing through it is not a good idea especially if he decides maybe he should go to school and now can no longer afford to do that.

Hillary Clinton win = what for the economy?

Flame war? All I asked was which perfect utopian society you call home since we are just a big circus act for you. Of course I do find it odd that someone who resides in the city which calls one of one of the most corrupt institutions in the world home, the Catholic Church, is looking down on...

The airline industry is dominated by four players -- and you're paying for it

OK, well this is more detail then I was looking to go into. I know for a fact that the routes I fly the most have gone down and in some cases substantially. Perhaps overall they are higher. It does not change my view of the industry that its dead and not sustainable long term. Airlines...

The airline industry is dominated by four players -- and you're paying for it

No, you are saying PRASM is higher. The specific revenue metric you are using. I was simply saying "airfares" in general are lower and I cited the trend in the FRED graph. Yes, I cherry picked the start date of 2011 so my comment should read, since 2011, the CPI Airfare price index has been...

The airline industry is dominated by four players -- and you're paying for it

See I still disagree with this. You have to be more specific. It's never been cheaper to fly into cities like NY. Have fares gone up in St. Louis? Maybe. It's hub specific. The issue is not just the oligopoly but at what hubs are airlines competing for seats and where are they not. You...
