    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Nice entry, @EON Kid. May I ask what charts you are using? I got a long signal too at 11:26/27, but I maintain my bearish bias as long as we hold below 2773. If we should push above 2773 and even 2781 - I'd change my mind. :)

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I'd be surprised to see a close above 2781,75 today and I think we'll most likely close below 2770. I'm betting on the LOD earliest at 13:00 and quite possibly even later. Once again there's the disconnect between ES/NQ which is not encouraging for the bears.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Sadly, that's generally how ES trades. Some days worse than others. The momentum moves we've seen lately may not continue moving forward. Especially if volatility slows down as it seems to be doing. Having traded MES for a while now - how do you feel it compares with the other indices you've...

    Gauntlet Mini™ Promo, 40% Off $25,000 Account

Is that really true...? I remember that when TST first launched they had a time goal as well, i.e., make X dollars in 10 days. This alone was a huge red flag. I know they have since removed that and the last time I checked their requirements seemed realistic. The thing about trading and day...

    Gauntlet Mini™ Promo, 40% Off $25,000 Account

Well - the way I see it they're providing a service and opportunity which they should be compensated for. Of course they are earning money on failed traders. I would rather focus my energy on the true snake oil salesmen who are selling courses and lofty promises. Does E2T or TST do that? If...

    Gauntlet Mini™ Promo, 40% Off $25,000 Account

As I understand it - it's paper trading initially, but when you've proven yourself profitable according to their criteria, you gain access to a funded account. Why would they offer this service for free? If the business model was set-up such that it was impossible for a trader to succeed, I...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I do think scaling can be a huge edge when done right, but not so sure about averaging down unless you really, really know what you're doing? If not, it seems like a great way to exponentially increases your losses as once in a blue moon even the best trader will take a full loss on full size...

    Gauntlet Mini™ Promo, 40% Off $25,000 Account

How so? Surely, most people who enroll in these programs doesn't make it. Just like most traders trying to trade their own money doesn't make it. So, for the few who can and who does not have the funds available to fund their own account - why not? Disclaimer: I have not looked into these...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Quite likely. If there's one defining characteristic of the ES market it's the number of false breakouts and deep retraces. IMO - this is also why this market can be so hard to trade at times, although there's been a lot more momentum lately than normal.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Monroe Trout, featured in New Market Wizards, almost never used actual stops placed in the market, but instead used alerts when price reached a certain level and would then evaluate to get out or not. Probably not a good idea for most day traders as ES can move fast, especially these days. I'm...

With algorithms browsing the web and following news, I'm sure they must have picked up the scent here too... ;)

And any pointers on how to do that...? :) Easier said than done, I think.

Making JH' SCT and all his material alive

Your experience here I believe is quite common. Annotating past charts is a completely different matter than trading a live chart moving up and down in fast speed. I hope you'll be able to bridge the gap in due time, but since you're only starting out, don't be discouraged yet and stay in the...

Been a strong disconnect between the two these last days. Certainly fooled me.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Wow. Look at this. I've been and still am short term technically bullish, but got shaken out on that move down to the LOD. Not entering anything from here. NQ up 3,91 % now. ES lagging a bit at 3,02 %. I don't follow the news all too closely except for tuning in to scheduled releases, but I'm...

Nice reversal here. Two gaps below. 2780. 2753 (from yesterday).

Let's see what happens at 2816,25. Strong market still, so will be looking for a long in that area if it holds. :)
