I think buy the dip is in vogue for today. Most likely new highs from here, but good chances we'll print an Inside Day. 4320 if we should get legs above the current HOD. Now, watch us drop. LOL. :)

Slow grind lower. ES down - 1.70 %. Incredibly, we haven't had a 2 % down day since March. And no days down 3 % this year. SPX about 16 points left to the 200MA which everyone seems to be watching. May not matter much today, though.

Reversed off last week's low for now. Seems like a pump or a dump into the close are equally likely from here.

An attempt at fireworks here. Let's see if this gets legs or not. Maybe back up to 4290 if so. First watching last week's low at 76.

Gap pretty much filled on SPX now. No fireworks yet. :) I'm too lazy to follow it up, but I'm taking a low risk long here at 62. 4 point stop. EDIT: Got low ticked. Stalking the long side still, but might be too early here. It's a trend day down until it's not...may have more downside here.

Looks like we'll get there today. 200 MA just below. Waiting a bit before attempting any longs.

Very common pattern on a Tuesday following a weak Monday if we open at bottom of the prior day range.

Tough to be short now as this is an area which could trigger some buying. There's an open gap on SPX approximately 20 points below the current LOD, though.

That was a real JOLT. :) Probably last week's low in play now. Or at least vanzandt's 4280.

Paying attention to 4313 / 16 if we get there. Potential reversal areas. Would not be an uncommon pattern if we rally a bit the first hour and reverse down afterwards to take out yesterday's LOD. I'm feeling a bit too much of a bull here, so I'm hopeful for the gap fill at 4325 and even more...

If we break below the LOD, I'm sure we'll take out yesterday's LOD and possibly trade down towards last week's low. Overall a tricky area from my point of view. I still think we can get that bigger leg higher from here, but might not be done with the back-filling below just yet.

Looking for a pop here on the Open. But this could easily reverse lower after that.

October doesn't seem like that bad a month to me. If you saw what I wrote earlier in the thread most weak Septembers have been followed by a good October. Not always of course. Just mostly. Of course, one have to question how much value this type of analysis has, but I think it's interesting to...

Well, Powell spoke today and the market didn't tank. That bodes well. ES flat / NQ + 0.81 %. I think there's a good chance we put in the week low today. Let's see how tomorrow opens.

I was tempted to go long here, but my statistical data gives weak odds given this structure as of now. Most likely we get new lows and a close below Friday's low. Probably going to take that back-test of the TL after all.

What a messy morning. That's an initial FBO off Friday's LOD. Snapped right back up and NQ is still trading at top of the range. Let's see if we can get lift-off from here. Might have to adjust that upside target to 4350 or so. If today sells off, I'll be missing it for sure...

Maybe we're stuck in this range until Powell starts talking. I don't even know what he's talking about, but saw it was scheduled for 11:00. Probably taking out Friday's Low if the LOD breaks now, but I'm not shorting this with NQ showing so much strength, so looking for a false breakout if so...

Wicked moves this morning. I have a long bias which is supported by NQ divergence at the moment, but not easy to say where this goes...

4375 today unless Powell spoils all the fun. :)
