Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

Issue has already been addressed. Coinbase and bitpay transfers the btc to dollars at point of sale, so no risk for business if they dont want the risk of holding bitcoin. And no large business you say? You mean like overstock.com? http://www.overstock.com/bitcoin Or zynga...

You can now sell your Gox Bitcoins for real bitcoins

Hmm...seems you are right. I got a little confused there thinking they were paying 80% of gox price since they only list the gox btc price.

Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

Gotta love it when people actually think this is true. Russia allows 1,000 RUR per day and 15,000 RUR per month for people to buy bitcoin. China only said they wouldnt allow financial institutions and payment providers to conduct business in bitcoin. Bitcoin exchanges are allowed to run in...

Why most BTC speculators will MAKE money

Alot of people talk about bitcoin being in a bubble but thats far from the truth. Bitcoin is a digital currency. It gets its value from the people. As it gets adopted as a payment system in more and more places, the value will continue to go up as more people buy into it. The bitcoin...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

A little late to the party aren't you? Its like on 9/14/01 asking "Anyone see what happened to the twin towers?" :P

You can now sell your Gox Bitcoins for real bitcoins

https://www.bitcoinbuilder.com/ Pretty ingenious. If you have bitcoins stuck in gox, you can trade them for real bitcoins (at a discount of course) Seems like it works like buying someones debt. You pay pennies on the dollar for them. If I had bitcoins at Gox, I would definitely be...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

Bitcoin is peer to peer...only way to "shut it down" is to shut down the internet.

    Dogecoin rolling along.

Yes, thats it...and we don't know yet if the transaction fees will be high enough to cover the cost of electricity. If not, thats pretty much it for bitcoin..., but at least thats over 100 years away, although the fact that the reward in the year 2136 will only be around 42 satoshis, the price...

Day 2. Up 20% against bitcoin, but only 10% vs the USD because of the bitcoin crash.

    Dogecoin rolling along.

I'm thinking we would bleed the government dry if they tried something like that. While the government is doing these market orders, we all have our limit orders ready and since the majority of bitcoins are not using margin, we can never get margin calls and get forced out. After we are...

    Dogecoin rolling along.

5 billion per year means it would take 20 years for the supply to double once they hit 100 billion. And lets not forget the coins that get lost/destroyed too. Also by keeping the supply increasing they ensure that miners will still be there to mine and keep the network going. Thats a problem...

    Dogecoin rolling along.

Bitcoin traded $45m yesterday. Litecoin traded $12m. Those are the only 2 shortable coins on bitfinex. Dogecoin is not shortable. Also, you can only short if the people who hold bitcoin/litecoin let you borrow their coins and even if you got 100% of the people who hold btc on bitfinex to...

No...usually when bitcoin crashes...all the the other altcoins crash with it.

Couldnt fight the Fed/JP Morgan and their unlimited shorting power. Coincidentally, I still own a little bit of silver.

I wanted to make this thread for the history books. I'm uploading a screen shot of the price of dogecoin the day I'm writing this, and I will bring it back to life a year from now to see how its doing. Here is a link for your convenience to see what the current price is compared to the...

Why most BTC speculators will lose their money

Why would anyone with millions of dollars in bitcoin cash out? It's not like they are going to get a better ROI somewhere else. Once its accepted everywhere, there will be no reason to cash out anyway. You'll just spend your bitcoins at different places. There will be no more cashing out...

Why most BTC speculators will lose their money

Well...your prophecy came true this morning. It hit $100. Of course, I like to look at the bright side and say "WOW bitcoin is up 600% from this morning!!!!"

Head and Shoulder formation in BTC

Do you know where they get those bitcoins to let you trade on margin? From other traders. The bitcoins don't magically appear out of thin air. They are all bought and paid for unlike the dutch tulips where they just put up 2.5% of the purchase price with a promise to pay the balance later...

Why most BTC speculators will lose their money

Bitcoin has value as a currency. More and more places are accepting it. You can check out coinmap.org to see some of the places near you that currently accept it. Bitcoin is still in its infancy as a currency though and the price will keep going up as its adopted by more and more people...
