The Pandemic that DWARFS Swine Flu

You know what is really scary though? Its not the narcotic in vicodin that is killing people. Its the acetaminophen that is mixed with vicodin that shuts down your kidneys and kills you if you take too much. If I remember right its 7 grams of acetaminophen that kills you. (dont remember if...

Ok...now the bailouts are getting ridiculous. Bailouts for your cat!

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3501: There you go...got a cat or a dog? Get a $3,500 tax credit. Next i say we get a $1,000 tax credit if we ride the bus once per year. Then I say we get a $2,500 credit if we have blue eyes. Another $1,500 tax credit if we wear white...

    Ever push the wrong button?

I've done that before too, back when i used a direct access broker. I clicked sell instead of sell short. I made a gain, but end of the day, they took the gain away from me and the SEC gave me a 25 dollar fine on top of it. Funny though that when you get a loss, they dont reimburse you.

    Ever push the wrong button?

I was trading gold on forex, so the sell stops there do not protect you. You put a tight sell stop in forex and you get these little surprise "spikes" that hit your sell-stop.

    Ever push the wrong button?

Today I bought gold at 1,093 and doubled up when it dipped a bit. When it got down to 1091 and started falling kind of fast I decided to close out my position. I pushed the buy button instead of the sell button and doubled up again, but took a second to realize what had happened. I thought i...

    The "Rapture"

See...I think the same thing about you people that believe in the big bang (that everything came from nothing) and that we all came from monkeys & puddles of primordial ooze. Dont those people believe everything they are told? And whats worse is that people are told there is evidence of this...

Meet the New Boss, Obama; Same as the Old Boss, Bush

Let the hoarding begin: India buys half the IMFs gold for sale

I saw a documentary somewhere where it said that all the gold ever mined would be equivilent to the base building that the statue of liberty stands on. In 2006 the estimate was 158k tonnes has been mined throughout history. Anyway...here is a pic of what about 5 tons of gold looks like...

Let the hoarding begin: India buys half the IMFs gold for sale

Gold is up almost 20% in the last 2 months. Hardly what i would call "stable" Obviously they want gold for some reason. Before this purchase, India had 557 tonnes of gold reserves. This means they increased their reserves by 40%. That is quite a bit to increase your reserves by and for...

    Gold and silver up +2000%.

In the game of economics, its alot like chess. You gotta look 5 moves ahead. It never ceases to amaze me that people look at prices of things today and say "it will never go up that much" In the late 60s my dad bought a new Ford mustang for $2,200 dollars. If someone told him that 40 years...

    Gold and silver up +2000%.

In 1970 gold was $35 per oz. So i guess there is nobody alive today that was around in 1970 because thats OVER 2000% increase in 1 lifetime. (actually 3000%) Silver is more modest and only up about a little over 1000% since 1971 when the average silver price was $1.55 per oz. I think...
