Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

I was never suggesting anything of that sort, you need your head examined if you read that into my words !

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

if I came across as mean that was not my intention. I would very much for Neke to survive as he has indeed shown courage to report his results for all to see ... I am wishing him all the best ... but in that spirit I also want him to take care ... EDIT: Livermore is hardly the example to follow...

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

this doesn't seem a bear market retracement to me, seems more like a depression hitting the economy to me ... those swings are way too wild and something will give in the end ... just like I saw this coming for Robert Weinstein too months ago, just like there are technical patterns on charts...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

it took me a while to get the point (like I said I am a bit slow today :D ) and I see it's merits, the hardest thing will probably be to move some bureaucrats to move their asses and get out of conventional thinking. And some pro's might not even like it as they might prefer to leave this OTC...

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

Neke, I think you have found the answer yourself: automate this all, as your emotions get the better out of you. Been there done that, found some other ways around that myself by no more trading intraday but using EOD data only to remove myself from the heat of trading. Good thinking and you try...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

my point remains though: unless done on an index you won't see critical volume in this because most retail traders won't touch it and even a lot of pro's won't trade it ... on an index might be good idea, but market makers might have a hard time trying to hedge this ... so it becomes a question...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

yeah, I just figured that out ... I am a bit slow today ...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

there must be something I am missing here ... those options would have no delta-effect, but they wouldn't be continous ... so there would be theta effect ... let's sell the hell out of those suckers is my first idea ... I could be missing something ... EDIT: you got my mind tight in a knot...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

retail people trading options on the vix are either gamblers pur sang or not your average retail trader. I used to be a market maker in equity options and I would hardly dare to touch those options ...

    Suggestion to the CBOE

retail traders would not be interested in this stuff, only certain pro's would, it will never fly ...

Oanda does not make it easy to like them...

oh, and that thread is bullshit by someone that needs attention probably imo ... or like some people suggested: shilling for another broker ...

Oanda does not make it easy to like them...

Just wire them and don't take money out all of the time ... that's my advice. Your money will get there rather fast (I heard stories of people having it there within 12 hours, for me it takes 2 days). Oanda is really good and overall very fair if you take into account the times when figures are...

    Which broker?

it it's eur/usd the market is much bigger with oanda and normally the spread is tighter and you don't have to pay commissions. So most of the time you are better of there. If however you are a news player I agree ...

    Which broker?

I personally have no problem with oanda charts but then agian I trade price action. I know some people use the combo with www.prorealtime.com charts, sophisticated yet not expensive charts. EUR/USD is the only thing I trade but liquidity is real good there, you gotta know when important figures...

Question about a spread I got on

it's obvious you need to read up on options, that someone taking the other side of the trade is doing it for totally different reasons. They might win too if you win ... you both might lose ... it's much more complex than it might seem at first glance ...

Rare arbitrage profit from call vs put prices: explain why not being taken?

you are getting things all mixed up: they want to sell the calls and buy the puts if they want to go short synthetically. Seems logical to me if you can't short the stock, rather overpay a bit for your synthetic short than have no short at all ...
