occasionally, the ES chops like this for a period of an hour at the open. But when this happens, it usually produces a reliable trend. The trend is usually not all that clean, but its tradable.

would love to see the proof ! that is impressive

edit: thought i posted a second trade in there. Didn't get b/e, -1.5 on that trade. +2.5 on my second trade that I thought I posted but didn't. Think i'm going nuts

technical trader. My trading is unaffected by this move. Im just trying to make sense of it as to how so many big players can see that data as such great news at 830est to make that push up so high.

Someone enlighten me here.... unemployment rate goes up, yet the market skyrockets up. Who cares that we added new jobs, the unemployment rate still went up. 10 point gap up ? What sense does that make.

Damn ! I was just gonna say that short was looking really good. You know as well as anyone that you need to give the ES room to move ! Why did you trail your stop down from 1367 ? Looked like 1367 was a good place to leave it until it broke free of 1365.50

IF i'm gonna go long, it'll be a conservative play. If we break 1367 resistance and push toward 1369, i'll buy the pullback back to 1367. Otherwise, I'm sitting on my hands until the big players decide which way they wanna take this.
