Steps to being an ES trader: (I've been feeling quite creative lately, and these are just random thoughts of mine. I might have skipped a lot, but this might or might not help anyone. I've been lurking here for years, and i'm in the mood to get critiqued and criticized to death by the ET gods)...

Maybe, maybe not. I personally don't care. Don't hold overnights. My 4hr chart comment just serves as a point of reference as to what to expect when we were selling off ever so slowly earlier.

If you look at the 4hr chart, PA wise, this looks like a very healthy pullback. I'm in long at these lows :)

I don't know if 'rational' is the right word to use here, but there were many signs pointing to at least a morning session up day. I for one did not see this trending all day, but the morning push up, at least from what I look at in the ES, was statically probable.

Sounds like you dont have a clue what you are doing. If you are not trading with clear profit targets, you should not get in the trade. You should have an idea how long you are going to hold if the trade moves the way u expect. If it begins to move in a way unfavorable to your trade, you can...

its a healthcare stock, which means I'll stay far far away. And I'm sure most on these forums are doing the same.

If I remember correctly, IB increased the margins to 2500 at around that time, and just never brought them back down until now. Perhaps I am wrong on this but thats what i recall.

Why did you buy the home if the property taxes were too high ? IMO, thats one of the things you take into account when buying the house. Also, why are you asking a daytrading community how u can go ahead and reduce the costs ? Sounds pretty damn irresponsible to me !

Like I said in my last post. My trade was based upon a TECHNICAL setup. Not emotion or ego or whatnot. And I plan to stay in this trade until tomorrow or maybe over the weekend unless my stop gets hit.

Pick an instrument, and study the price action of that instrument. Make sure you chose only one instrument. Don't go skipping around to different instruments looking for that 'holy grail'. Choose one and study it until you're blue in the face. Be a master of that instrument. For example...

Actually, in my opinion, you've got it dead wrong. Getting the entry right isn't that important. You can always average down to a certain extent. Its getting the exit correct. Knowing how to read the price action once you're in a position and nagivating it correctly so you come out ahead.
