    I've been long a large position in svxy for some weeks now, might be a month. Up over 20% on it. On a couple of days, I increased the position 5x purely as a day trade to take advantage of increased vol (I expected vol to decline).

    Day trade them only on certain days, otherwise I have positions for weeks.

    Not quite zero...but close....FT30 (UK share index), in the 1970's, was down 80%.....Dow in the 1930s was down 90%...nasdaq in 2000(?) down 80%, all from their record highs.

    No, but if you wish to purchase valuable/useful/essential goods and services you may have to exchange some of them. AFAIK, the digital and physical USD coins are legal tender whilst bitcoins are not.

    Assuming you are talking about technical type of trading, then the answer is the whole range from unbelievably simple to unbelievably complex. I personally know hedge fund managers here in London who use simple moving average crossovers and also some with insane algos.
