Lin Wood vs. Marjorie Taylor Greene -- let me grab my popcorn

This is like the resident trucker on here getting in an argument with J.E.M. .

Miss Me Yet? :-) Trump 2024

Well certainly the world is a better place now that's he's been regulated to the roles of crazy Grandpa, money losing business man, and whiner-in-chief about "election fraud". But I don'[t expect his shrinking cult following to suddely turn rational; we get crazy theories on here that Biden is...

My guess on WTI is at a minimum it'll test $84.50-$85.

Actually a sell off of any size should surprise you I'm not sure why all the bullish news that occurred this week hasn't registered with you yet. I'm not going to go into the details but it suffices to say that Thursday morning premarket it was clear the fundamental story was turning bullish and...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

The "truth" about Canada's health care system is it's a very good system accessible to everyone. But I do know many like to pretend it isn't in the US; after all, it's some people's way they justify in their heads the disaster that is the US private system. If you doubt this, then you might want...

The S&P will top at 4540-4601

Copper run came in as I expected I've been hugely overweight Copper miners for most of this week ( 5 positions and some day trading ). I got lucky selling 2/3 of my Gold/Silver positions yesterday on strength; option expiry may create some rebuy opportunities later today. Oil may be tricky today...

Doctors refuse to treat the unvaccinated -- Welcome to the new ethical minefield

All I see in Brazil these days is a train wreck of a country that was brought to it's knees by Covid. It gets stupid when you think you have something to say about Canada. Tyranny come on now try to have some semblence of reality in your posts you sound like luishk and he's demented. It becomes...

Fed says it could begin ‘gradual tapering process’ by mid-November

Well I'm sure many traders who don't understand of it will have an opinion and furiously short markets. Currently, the market has not only priced in tapering but two rate hikes are expected late 2022. I'm sure some traders will insist markets will collapse at that point because 0.75-1% interest...

Fundamentals say otherwise. I only use longer term technicals as a reference point. I've actually had a better track record calling corrections on here then most bears which is ironic. Basically I can't see a 1000-1500 point drop in an environment with 6% GDP growth and strong corporate...

Somehow the TSX was up 1% today and we reached pre-Covid employment levels last week. Funny we never have debt ceiling crisis here. We also seem to raise interest rates quicker and run lower deficits without our market crashing but hey Americans love a good fake crisis.

Do we need a runaway inflation before someone like Volcker steps in?

I started my career in the 1980s in Canada. How would any of this really be a problem ? I lived through your "nightmare" scenarios already. Only difference is I see the bigger picture better now and know how to take advantage of it. If gas costs more well it hardly matters if I own some energy...

Correction coming? See inverses UVXY TZA SQQQ

Plenty of fake crisis for traders to worry about I guess. I'm too busy making money to care, Tell you what if it becomes a problem I'll take some of my profits now and short stuff on the event.

    Supply Chain Issues

This is a delusional take on things. GDP is up 6% and forecast for 5% next year. The shortage of workers is real because many traditional areas haven't adapted well. Numerous new areas of business are excelling in incredible ways these days.

Do we need a runaway inflation before someone like Volcker steps in?

I'm loving this "inflation" trade :). Hell, even Gold miners joined in this time.

The news this week has been pretty bullish in nature and today's move was not an ordinary bounce it reflected on some fundamental reasons new money came in. The chances of a meaningful correction the rest of 2021 took a fairly big hit this morning.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

The "more down" trade was useless today. Much better to be in the "inflation" trade in Canada. I'd say the bears are starting to run out of time for 2021 they usually have to hibernate by November :).

That was your opportunity to sell and flip to a long position. KOLD daily chart looks ugly a very reliable trend against.

The S&P will top at 4540-4601

My short term moves based on my reads seem to have worked out ( long Oil producers, long Copper miners, long Gold/Silver miners at a floor, sold all pure Nat Gas producers at a profit ). I wanted to add another Copper miner last week ( Hudbay or Lundin ) but it never happened. Basically if all...

The Myth: 3x ETFs good only for short term...

. On the other hand, SQQQ is down 99.25% the last 5 years so you'd have to make 13,333% return moving forward to break even.

Do we need a runaway inflation before someone like Volcker steps in?

I'm not worried about inflation if anything it's helpful to my commodity based trades. WTI is at $80.61 I'm not sure how that fits your overly bearish thesis.
