The MP is not necessarily important or even relevant since it is nothing more than an indication of strength or weakness. If you're trading a range, strength and weakness are extraneous. But as for deciding not to take a RET, short or otherwise, this is wise. As for the "limits of the Range"...

The annotations are handy for charts, esp if everybody understands what they are and what they represent. However, for this exercise I prefer that whoever wants to participate explain what they plan to do in text. This is a high hurdle for one who overtrades, or for anyone who has not yet...

No need. I'm not saying that the MACD or any other indicator is not useful. I'm pointing out that whatever the indicator is indicating is in the trader's head, not in the market. This eventually creates problems which are avoided by not using indicators at all. Those 60+ ES points have more...

Wins and losses are not the issue, rather whether or not indicators lag, and, again, they do. This does not mean that some divergences can't work out. But the divergences are in the mind, not in the market. Manipulating data so that one can find "divergences" where none exist is the antithesis...

If one requires indicators in order to make trades, then he should use them. This does not mean, however, that indicators are necessary.

Actually it's the behavior that has created and continues to create the pattern that illustrates the sentiment. If one trades the pattern alone without considering the behavior that created it, he will likely trade it incorrectly, e.g., the ubiquitous "head and shoulders".
