Hey all you price predictors: when is a pullback gonna come?

Volume is slowing down relative to what? The last few months? Or the last time there was a slow but steady rally (Aug 2010-Feb 2011)? I never understood people's volume analyses. With the exception of big down days usually having big volume spikes, it just appears to be a random...

Hey all you price predictors: when is a pullback gonna come?

All you guys who voted "before the end of next week," do you still think there's going to be a 5% drop before the close tomorrow?

"The only way to trade with Fibonaccis" journal

Thanks :) Oddly enough, I have an idea of who is voting it down. Then again, thread rating doesn't really matter for anything anyway. 1/25: No trades.

I am getting tired of all this upward movement without a pullback. I bet trend followers are loving it, though :D Except maybe for the ones who jump in right at the top  Today was a fake pullback. A gap down but price continued up for most of the day. Here's a chart of your magic...

5 minute Bars are the Best

lol. Are you saying all charts, without the timeframe labeled, are indistinguishable from one another? Cuz I would agree with that.

Strategy/method with high percentage of losers

Well, if it's false, then just set up a system to trade the way I explained and rake in the profitzzz. Wait, if you're saying there is no positive or negative expectancy, are you saying it's neutral expectancy? I'm saying based on extensive backtesting, all variations of MA crossover...

Strategy/method with high percentage of losers

This is actually viable, it's just most people think about it wrong. Going long 2 and short 1 at the same time is equivalent to being long 1. Going long x shares/contracts and short y shares/contracts at different times with different objectives is, in the long run, not equivalent to being...

Strategy/method with high percentage of losers

Trading MACD crossovers is a losing strategy in the longterm. Go long when the fast line crosses the slow line to the upside. Stop and reverse when the fast line crosses the slow line to the downside. So you are basically always in. If you happen to do this when there is a random big...

5 minute Bars are the Best

What makes 5 minute charts qualitatively different than 4:50 charts or 5:10 charts? The only advantage I can see with 5 minute charts is that they go evenly into the amount of time in the trading day, but same thing with 10 min, 30 min, etc.

Hey all you price predictors: when is a pullback gonna come?

Ideas for Struggling Traders Trading Noise

This is assuming you can tell ahead of time if price change will be "noise" or legitimate movement. Of course, if you can do that, you will be a millionaire very soon.
