    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Wow. Damn close to the 2nd circuit breaker there. - 12,72% from the RTH Close on the current Low. This is extreme.

You said the same thing a long time ago. Unless the FED starts buying stocks themselves at the Open - today is going to be another RED day. Already is. Does not preclude strong counter moves of course.

How far can the government go to prevent further market bleeding?

If that's true - why didn't they 'buy' Sunday's Open then...?

Moving towards another limit down. Currently down - 5 % from Friday's RTH Close.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Not so sure about that. It's probably the right thing to do right now, but like I said above, I think it can only alleviate the problems and lessen the burden for people and corporations moving forward in this crisis. Should be a very interesting Open tonight and following hours all the way...

SP500 back to $3300 by end of month

Good one. There was a similar one around when the FED first launched QE I think. Pretty funny. :)

SAS Temporarily Lays Off 90% of Workforce, Affecting 10,000 Jobs And that's just one company. Shit keeps hitting the fan here in my neck of the woods and are likely to get worse still. 'Everything' is already shut down and what's not already is getting shut down. For how long? God knows. Spain...

    TopstepTrader Q & A

I agree with this post. These programs does not cater to the performance or skill levels of complete newbies. That said, back in the day, I think TST had quite unrealistic performance requirements. They've changed that now. I'm trading my own account, but have considered enrolling in such a...

You beat me to it, @Clubber Lang.

    Friday's rally - short covering?

Regardless of what it was - we still ended the week down - 8,79 % and approximately down 20 % from the top on the S&P 500. Big picture - this may have been just a retrace. The entire situation still seems entirely unresolved and uncertain to me, so I don't see why we can't drop a lot further...

Is this the most volatile market ever? I think so.

Glad to hear that. I was particularly interested since you're automated and this market is far from normal.

Is this the most volatile market ever? I think so.

Yes, I know all your comments were pre past week. I imagine things must be a bit different now after last week as the % change moves most certainly equal past peak volatile periods. Is your trading going well in this environment? If I recall correctly, you're mostly or fully automated.

    I'm getting whipsawed, and I need advice/opinion

Great. Thanks @hafez50. The obvious advantage with the micros is that you can scale in increments, i.e., 11, 12, 13, ..., 20, instead of going from 1 to 2 e-minis in one go. This is an advantage in regular times too. Seems like a no-brainer to be trading the micros at least until you're at...

Is this the most volatile market ever? I think so.

Interesting comments. Seems to be the general consensus on this thread. I started following the market just around 08/09, but was not day trading or following the ES futures then. Do you guys still feel the same way after last week? Thursday was the largest day down in % change since Black...

Congratulations! So, you're doing 50-100 e-micros then? The liquidity seems to be great on the MES. How has your fills been trading this many MES? Any slippage to speak of? Easily filled on limit orders? No doubt.

    I'm getting whipsawed, and I need advice/opinion

I'm sure it's been for many others too. Not just humbling, but career-ending. Just be glad you didn't blow up. Thursday was the largest day down on the S&P in % change since Black Monday on October 1987. The market moves have been extreme, both in nominal points (making records here) and on a %...
