Long bias for the day as long as we hold above 2434.

Unless something changes dramatically by the Open, read: a strong gap down, I think we're all set for a day with the main move being up and most likely a positive net change on the day. May see an initial sell during the Open before bottoming out and trading higher for the remainder of the day.

Why are the Japanese day traders so rich?

This is why: While many panicked, a Japanese day trader made US$34 million

By the way - when's the last trading session next week? As far as I can see, Friday is closed. Is Thursday a full day?

Coming for the Izzy Bottom by end of week or early next week? Remind me - @Buy1Sell2 - exactly where is the Izzy Bottom? :)

Slow motion selling. Getting there, though.

Reliable implied volatility measure for ES ?

As far as I know - the VIX basically anticipates daily change, not range. So, if the market opens flat and have a % change of - 10 % - you'll have a huge range. But if it opens down 5 % at the Open and have a % change of - 10 - you'll basically have half the range. Your best bet is probably...

Flat at 77. - 4,00. May have the LOD here after all...

Bear flag. Starting to be a little overdone here, but may short 55/56 in anticipation of a new leg down.

Rangewise - we're still way below recent averages. To catch up with those - we'd need 2410 by the Close. That's 6,34 % down, so may be pushing it, but who knows...

Broke out of the flag now. Final confirmation for a short if we break 90? If 90 holds - can make for that final push up to the 20 level.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Quite possible. My main hypothesis is that we're indeed 'flagging' higher into the 2520 level as a maximum and that we'll sell off from there. If that level is cleared and left behind - I suppose it's quite likely the LOD is in and that we will just grind higher up towards yesterday's close.

So far, the daily range is 30,50 points by 11:00. That's the smallest since this sell-off started and half the average (70 points). The nearest match would be the 5th of March at 32,25 points - where the day range expanded to 86 points by the Close and printing the LOD in the last hour. Could...

Well - we opened down - 3,81 %, so... :) Point is - the 6-10 % daily moves may not happen as frequently moving forward.

Yeah. You may be right. Even if we sell lower and sustain a bear market it may very well be that the % change and ranges will contract compared to what we've seen recently.

I'm thinking we can/should see a 5 % down day today. That takes us down to 2444. First, there's an open gap at 2466,50 / 4 % down. There seems to be quite a few recent LODs that may act as support on the way down. Currently just seated on my hands, but I do think we trade lower from here.
