Looking for FIX API brokerage for Equities

Sterling provides MD unless you use the API and shut off MD to the API. Then your server can use whatever you want. Call me later to discuss.

Do you think educators that sell training should show proof of profitability?

My starting rate in 1985 as a MM was $0.90/options and $0.01/share. On the stock side, I had to use Instinet to hedge. That cost me almost $0.03/share.

Do you think educators that sell training should show proof of profitability?

Good to see another old time trader. I cleared SLK too. However my P/L from being a MM does not relate to today, as customer. Maybe yours does.

Do you think educators that sell training should show proof of profitability?

There are a number of sides to trading. (This is not all of them..just an example) Find a strategy or edge Find the best way to execute that Manage risk Manage your emotions I'd say if the mentor is teaching #1, they need to show that it works and they can make money. If you are expected to...

Do you think educators that sell training should show proof of profitability?

Interesting question. If I'm a football or basketball coach, do I have to show I can play in order to teach drills and make plays?

Funds availability for deposited checks. Is anyone worse than IB?

Good question, must vary from bank to bank. I think in my personal account at Citibank, any deposit under $25,000 is immediately available. Large deposits are split into blocks of time to clear.

Experienced trader/Fund manager looking for a prop firm

Please send me you CTA information. Maybe I can help. I have raised over $1.5mm in the last 6 months for a CTA that does sell options. I need managers with good returns, that use little margin, that are uncorrelated to the ES put sellers. I'd love a CTA that is a conservative day trader with...

    Option hedge for futures

That choice needs to meet your needs. You can roll now, roll later. Roll to a different strike. Or, in the future when this is what you want from day 1, just buy the december call.

    Option hedge for futures

1 ES Dec Future (1 Delta) 1 ES 9/22 2420 put (~16 Delta) A 16 delta put provides very little protection. If you want to estimate what that protection looks like, look at the closing value of the call. (Long future+Long put=synthetic call) I can't see that until later today. Let's say that was...

    Option hedge for futures

I have 2 thoughts on this. If you have entered this trade already, the time to ask this question was before, not after. Never enter a trade without understanding the risk/reward. To get an opinion from anyone here, you need to provide more details. Bob

Experienced trader/Fund manager looking for a prop firm

If you are currently offering 2/20 as a CTA, why would anyone subscribe with 0/40to 0/60? In many cases 2/20 can look very similar to 0/30 over time. And, if you become an employee of a traditional prop firm, they will likely not want you to run your CTA business. I'd suggest putting together...
