LOL AAA. That was funny. :D

No way, not now at least. DA, Bralyon and K2 are in rhythm and it looks great! Throw in a good RB with Lewis and an OL that can actually block and you now see the weapons we have. Now the defense... different story... Word is that Savage will be spending $$$$ there next year. This year was...

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Take a look at how it looks after I reboot the computer: I imagine that's more normal. Something is going on causing the trader.exe to spike to a very high level. I have an email into their tech, so we'll see what they say but it seems so odd that it is spiking so much!

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Here's what I was able to get frank before it just completely froze up on me again today: COMPUTER #1: COMPUTER #2 AT THE SAME TIME: Prior to the OEC.exe on computer #1 jumping, I was running ok on both computers. #1 still was touching 100% but did not enter a hanging...

Accuracy was probably the biggest concern and time will tell there, but having him sit out for up to a year is great in my opinion. There's so much he has to learn and now has time to digest it whereas our last attempt at brining in the QB savior, ie Timmy Couch, didn't quite work throwing him...

Mutual funds that beat the market

hw - good mix there and when I was a broker, I would have allocated to the same type of combo. Since becoming much more active in the day-to-day moves however, I'm not so sure that a 'properly' balanced mix of funds is best in the long run. Like you said, the reit fund is not doing well and...

The National Football League-that was the week that was

So what is up with Cinci? 1-3? I'm surprised by that and getting killed in my fantasy b/c of it. I have Palmer and C. Johnson and it's been hit and miss so far. I'm kinda surprised that they are 1-3 and we, the Browns, are 2-2 (almost 3-1). =) I think the AFC North is going to get...

MGJ - that's a really interesting post there, thanks for sharing. That's what I was going after but didn't have the file in front of me.

Mutual funds that beat the market

American Funds is just a fund company, like Fidelity and Vanguard. The only stipulation is that American Funds are ONLY sold through brokers, which means you will pay a commission to buy them. American Funds are one of the better groups out there, but not sure how many of their funds...

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Thanks guys. Looks like a full reformat with the most recent drivers may be the best option. I installed Diskeeper yesterday and ran a full defrag, so we'll see if that helps today or not. Here's a question - what should the CPU Usage and Usage History in the Windows Task Manager look like...

Mutual funds that beat the market

The problem with your request is that mutual funds have extremely large and crafty marketing departments that are very good at manipulating the numbers. While I was a broker/advisor, I was amazed at what passed NASD approval. Some 'tricks of the trade': > Have a bad fund? Just get rid of it...

I'm hoping it will HELP the problem since it is not on the computer in question.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Yeah, backup is not the problem. I just want to solve this problem. That's how I am - when there's an issue at hand, I want to solve it and move on. One thing I did notice is that I am running Diskkeeper on other computers and NOT this one. I will load it and see if that helps.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Good point gnome. It's good that I have a total of 6 computers here, so this is not life threatening, but it's bugging the shit out of me! :D

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

I should note that it also spikes even after OEC is closed down. When I open an Internet Explorer window, it spikes to about 80% and then back to 0.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Here's a visual if that helps at all. Maybe those spikes aren't as bad as I think, but it seems like my OEC trader hangs a bit recently so that's what got me looking at this.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Let me be more specific: COMPUTER #1 - MAINLY RUNNING OPEN ECRY CHARTS AND THAT'S IT. AMD Athloan 64 Processor 3000+ 2.01 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM This computer is the one spiking like crazy. ------------ COMPUTER #2 For comparison purposes, I also run OEC charts, DOM's and a few...

Good suggestions guys, thanks. I've never noticed this issue before, so not sure if the recent OEC upgrade may have affected this as well.

Computer running at 100% CPU Usage and not sure why

Computer guys, need your advice - one of my computers that just runs charting (currently OEC charts) recently started slowing down to the point that I really noticed. After checking it out today, it looks like something is causing the CPU Usage to spike massively - pushing 100% OFTEN. If I...
