    Kospi closed? (March 12/2010)

There's a 30 minute gap in the chart for JUN that's kinda weird.

    Kospi closed? (March 12/2010)

There's bid/ask activity on the JUN10 now. It looks like MAR10 expired.

    Kospi closed? (March 12/2010)

LOL I just posted the same question on that other thread. You're right there's no action but I can't find a reason why.

To everyone who wants to quit their job and trade full-time

You guys got me curious about KOSPI so I subscribed to the Korean data and pulled up the KOSPI MAR10 futures contract. Supposedly the market just opened 10 minutes ago (0900 Korean time) but there's no movement.

    Being inexperienced sucks

Remember this guy (highprobability trading)? Went into the weekend long 10 cars on Russell 2000 futures. It tanked over the weekend of course and he lost like $25-30K in a matter of hours. http://www.break.com/usercontent/2008/1/Stock-Futures-Trader-losses-it-all-and-flips-out-438981.html

Help!! ITM long put in loss

Your directional call on CAT was wrong. What was your exit plan? Never enter a trade unless you know how you're going to manage it. The 50 SMA is above the 200 SMA and price is above the 50 SMA. CAT reported OK earnings back in January. No reason to expect it to go down that I can see.

Cash stolen from thinkorswim accounts, any advice?

The OP may have been told to shut his trap until it's resolved. Publishing this kind of personal event in a public forum is pure idiocy anyway.

    Post economic collapse game plan

Haha, good one. I actually have first hand experience since my kids are 18 and 21. I've met literally hundreds of their friends and classmates and sadly they're all the same. Ok, not all, but like 90%. And I will never, under any circumstances, ever have a Facebook. :p

Beginner asks: Sell a Call Spread? Buy a Put Spread?

They're not equivalent. You want to be a net seller of premium when IV is historically high and be a net buyer of premium when IV is historically low.

    Post economic collapse game plan

Ah, if only the average 18-21 year old were as focused and selfless as their Marine counterparts. Not sure what race has to do with anything.

If the 88 in your name is your birth year then you're right. You wouldn't last a week without your iPod, cellphone and Facebook.
