Yup, we see deer and fox nearly every day. Canada geese when they're migrating. They hang out in the pond next door.

    How Do Options Make Predictions?

That's simple. Option premium is set according to IV. IV is the market's *belief* of how volatile a stock is gonna be within some time period. Stocks frequently *do* move this much, as "predicted". The ability to find over and under priced options is key to making money in that game. If...

    Guru Dennis Bolze missing

Wow. $100M That's just about enough to buy a new identity and property somewhere far away from the news. I'm still predicting Mrs. Bolze disappears soon too.

Any good place left in the USA?

The Baltimore/Washington area is *relatively* unharmed cuz it's so close to the center of gubment. Even with cuts in defense spending, it's still a hub of contracting activity. While the real estate market has really been pounded in other areas of the country, this area didn't fare as badly...

    programming experience

At the risk of sounding like a dick, I think it's easier for a programmer to learn to trade than it is for a trader to learn to program. You said, "I figure the cost for a programmer willl be the same as taking classes and learn for myself." The thing you have to keep in mind is that you can...

Important Notice Regarding Your Changes To Your Account

My wife handles all this crap (god bless her). Every time they try to levy a fee or raise the rate, she just call 'em up and tells 'em she's canceling. They immediately back off. They've tried the "promotional rate" thing and when the time limit comes up, she just calls them back and does the...

    Charting API

I use chart director The free version has a banner and it's reasonably priced to buy. There are ports to C++ (what I use), VB, .NET, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby. Great stuff.

PNC and IBM gave nice inside bar entries (with long bias) today. Would have been a good ride up all day into close. NTRS turned out to be a not-so-hot pick.

Best place to build a retirement home.

Actually, hoodooman is right. I lived near Raleigh for about 5 years and the climate, cost of living, things to do, etc was pretty good. I grew up around Baltimore/Washington and found that the peak temps there are higher that in NC. Balt/Wash will get into the 100's every summer, but the...

Best place to build a retirement home.

Basically the whole left coast is absurdly expensive. I looked at WA and OR myself and while they're nice, they're also over-priced. Hate to say it, but the midwest probably gets the best bang for the buck for cost of living. I hear northern AZ and NM are nice for climate.

NTRS has a nice big gap up this AM on a good earnings report. Ought to provide plenty of volatility to trade today.
