reread what I wrote exactly, it's obvious you didn't get it: no the spread of Oanda is cheaper than MB when push comes to shove; especially for short term traders ...

Surf you should get out more in the REAL world of trading ... you just can't scale up on most things that are really worth their while and where you can have a real edge ...

After all this talk on ET about lower spreads on ET about MB trading and their wonderfull model compared to Oanda I opened up a demo account there and tried to do the comparison ... a typical example (I know there no such thing in forex, but bear with me and I think you will get the idea ...)...

the problem for most people to understand why this doesn't work is that things can go right for a pretty long time only to come back with a vengance. Either you do this on such a small scale it's really not worth it, or eihter it's only a matter of time before you blow up if you do this...

you forgot to add commission to your spreads, at oanda you don't pay any commissions, so be carefull of the real cost. IB is also not so easy cuase it depends on your size pretty much. At IB 1 pip spread is more realistic during european hours (and that's without the commission).
