SSI: EURUSD Positioning Flips to net Long for First Time Since January

yes, very likely, the next coming days, but in a few months it will be up again ... you write good stuff about indexes, but not so impressed thus far with your fx analysis ... Edit: intrest rates in europe can only go one way and that's up, it's only a delay for now ...

    Technical Analysis = CRAP

one does strictly so (he is a daytrader pure sang) , the other one does 'almost' strictly so like to have his charts aligning with his fundamental views otherwise it's too hard for him to hold positions, he is a daytrader but also has a core posiition at times he trades around that he keeps for...

    Technical Analysis = CRAP

marketsurfer, I know at least two guys that fit your description, problem is they don't want other people to find out about them. One was on ET in the past, another one still is.

    Technical Analysis = CRAP

Why would anyone in their right mind trading his own capital making big money shout about it ... unless he has an ego problem ... pour vivre mieux vivons caché has always been the saying for people with some common sense ...

Predict where SPY will go in the next few months in this thread!!! Charts!!!!!!!

you haven't understood even the basics of trading if you think you will be able to predict targets or prices with TA ! At best you get a short term direction, how far that will go depends on the ensuing price action. that ensuing action might be 5 minutes from now or 5 hours.

With the ES around, why trade forex?

ha, I am afraid not ... he did this through a company structure, that company went bankrupt off course ... so no tax benefits ...

With the ES around, why trade forex?

One of the guys I know made about 22 million euro's trading index futures (he used to be one of the biggest locals in europe)... he started with about 50K and he gave all of his profits back in the end ... he thought he was King of the pit for a while ... but it was bound to happen to him as he...

    Curious about traders "edge."

yes, it takes time, becoming a doctor takes time too, I tried backtesting things for ages, only when I stopped doing that and tried it to other way I started to make progress. You need to see 'context' in live circumstances. But I know most people don't really want to spend the time and effort...

    Curious about traders "edge."

backtesting for price action in context is just hopeless to try, you're better of forwardtesting on sim and keeping good detailed notes in a doc on how you're setups might actually work and in a spreadsheet and creating a feedbackloop between the two to actually learn something. If you sometimes...

why exchanges keep the option bid-ask so large?

even if smaller spreads were theoretically allowed by using 1 cent increments, the spread would still be as wide. Really, it's no free lunch out there for market makers, I can assure you, those days are long gone ...

why exchanges keep the option bid-ask so large?

It's obvious you don't know how market making works, if you did you'd know that's not a excuse. They really would have to send millions of quotes for each stock each day if they would be doing that. I am not saying it's not possible considering the evolution of computers but it's not something...

why exchanges keep the option bid-ask so large?

not only it's an expensive stock, it has been quite the mover too ... I am too lazy to look this up but the implied probability is probably way out there. Also normal people don't look at spreads between absolute prices when they look at options (of which you didn't mention the strike or month)...

why exchanges keep the option bid-ask so large?

hey, why don't YOU make a market, hearing from the above remarks you will make a fortune ... or blow up (the most likely scenario :D )

With the ES around, why trade forex?

I really hope for your sake the above remarks were meant as a joke with a bizarre twist   if not it's not a matter of if, but more of when and how spectacularly you blow up !
