POLL: Big crash coming this week?

How's this working out for you ? You still think you were not "wrong" ? I can't possibly think a 5% drop in the SPX in September was enough of an opportunity to make up for carrying an overdone negative bias about markets all year. Keep trying ? Sure, I'm up 91% in 53 weeks, no leverage. I made...

ETF strategy for today's Fed reaction

Gold trend continued today, and Oil despite bouncing around ended up decent today. I don't need higher Oil just no big drop to do really well on my Oil stocks. Will Gold disappoint again on Monday ? I use the good days to lighten up any positions that aren't behaving well.

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

My main play the last week and a half was loading up on Canadian energy companies pre-earnings. Still a couple more to go. It suffices to say none of those firms are making money because of the US Fed but the cash flows being generated are massive. Most of the traders on here bellyaching about...

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

This isn't true at all. There is a ton of remote work being done and many IT companies increased their business during the pandemic.

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

There are enough people promoting the down side on here. I actually called the late 2015 - early 2016 correction a few months before it occurred and gave the reason why. I frequently mention certain aspects of IT are probably overpriced ( but not all of it ). My worst move in 12 years was...

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

How am I too bullish ? I called the SPX year end close in 2019 almost to the number ( how rare is that ) and most of my forecasts this year have occurred. I'm not long anything in US markets right now; the TSX is less then half the price of the SPX on a valuation basis and I play undervalued and...

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

Then you'll be glad I pointed out OP called Nasdaq a crazy top in August 2020. Going long was the play then. Let's call it balanced reporting. A real estate agent vs a lawyer they were both wrong what are the odds :).

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

Anyone playing long or short indexes right now is underperforming. Are you really going to post this shit every time the SPX is up 0.4% ?

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

Record highs almost always are followed by more record highs, and a lot of hysteria on this site from permabears. We've seen this in the last economic recovery as well.

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

Are you aware you are posting total nonsense on here ? How about the added dimension that many dot coms had no earnings at all; some were never going to turn a profit. Another dimension was QQQ was up 39% in 1998 and 89% in 1999. But you can pretend this is the same sure.

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

I remember reading on Elite Trader that markets couldn't possibly go up any higher, at least a thousand times. Vast majority of times market went higher. Just think how silly it is you posted this in a thread involving an OP who asked who was crazy enough to buy the Nasdaq in August 2020. Yes...

You thought markets were overbought April 2009.

ETF strategy for today's Fed reaction

I was going to post that Gold might make a kind of random jump up again during the meeting and sure enough it happened again ( two meetings in a row ).

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

Which is all the more reason not to try to time the top. Most have major clues not long after the corrections start. What I've learned is it's often much easier to recognize and buy the floors ( indexes, stocks, sectors ). Far easier then calling tops. If things get dicey, I pull positions...

How high can the S&P 500 go by year end?

I said earlier this year I thought 2021 would play out very similar to 2019. Not many years have 5-6% GDP growth, strong corporate profit growth, and 0.25% interest rates. So the case for a strong year grew even more as we got through the year.

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

From August 19, 2020 : You've been clueless for quite a while now it seems.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Certain aspects of the Nasdaq probably I'm not really tracking US stocks lately just noting the percentage gains in SPX as a gauge. I noted a while back I believe the corrective phase ended on some good earnings one recent Thursday morning I knew we'd be rallying from that point most likely (...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

I've never seen a "blow off top" with these small grinding gains. In other words, it doesn't feel like that at all. I'm playing some massive earnings beats what do you think the stocks should do ?

    Deflation & Cathie Wood

She provides a service to play certain segments of the market. I suppose if we had etfs specializing in Elite Trader style top calling / shorting it would look pretty dreadful this year.
