Correction GXE ( Gear Energy ) not GTE. GXE and BIR may be my favorites this coming week.

Favorite sectors next week?? Crypto, ev, metals, pot

Dependent on Commodity prices, all TSX listed : BIR/ATH ( Nat Gas ), GTE/ATH/BTE ( Oil ), ERO/CMMC ( Copper ), CXB/NGD/AR ( Gold ) I adjust my weightings in these subsectors most mornings but try to keep my sales to stocks not on this list unless I'm making 10-20% on the day on a stock...

Gold Mining Stocks as Inflation Hedge?

The catch though is if broader markets go up I doubt the miners really move a lot to justify random down side risk. I made a lot of money on New Gold until my last position at $2.14 cratered and I just held it. Got out at $2.03 Cdn. It was $1.29 Cdn at one point. Fortuna I sold at $6.80 Cdn...

Gold Mining Stocks as Inflation Hedge?

#1 reason gold mining stocks struggled this year is the strength of other sectors. In Canada, I'd say the energy sector took a lot of speculators out of mining in 2021.

Gold Mining Stocks as Inflation Hedge?

I used the run up as a chance to unload some positions that were previously losing money, and some quick swing trades on some more active stocks. I got out of two miners yesterday which ended up being a mistake but New Gold I didn't want the earnings risk. I think the play is buy daily dips on...

Correction coming? See inverses UVXY TZA SQQQ

Are you up to a 9/10 in confidence in holding KOLD into Monday ?

Correction coming? See inverses UVXY TZA SQQQ

Uncanny how you post these things and they totally reverse not soon after :). I'd say what the means is when you get 9+/10 confidant about a trade, take the exact opposite trade.

The End Time Apocalypse (October countdown)

You're insane and will be left to ask yourself some serious questions when none of this stuff happens. It's not like you can act like some of the worst traders on here who just blame the Fed or "money printing" for their massive errors in judgement. You said 70% of the world would die.

$2 Trillion Market Cap to Zero In 1 Sec

Supply doesn't matter if the demand changes drastically at some point. Like "rare" Beanie Babies the buyers can disappear and suddenly it's a $10-15 plush toy again. I'm not sure when Bitcoin etc becomes hits serious problems but there is a strong chance it will long term. Would have been...

Coming in outta the KOLD ... crushing natural gas

This doesn't match what you did though. My opinion what you did was smart and this stated plan is deeply flawed. Leveraged etfs, especially connected to commodity prices, are not well behaved like stocks can be. I'd say you need to hit them harder on the initial move and scale back on success...

Natural gas looking like MEME stock!

Pull up a chart and note where your entry point was. Your trade was deeply underwater twice. This is just gambling not a reliable way to make money. Since you declared everything in energy a "crowded" trade I made a shitload of money on Canadian energy stocks making new 52 week highs on strong...

Coming in outta the KOLD ... crushing natural gas

Surprise inventory drawdown in Oil was bullish for Oil possibly bearish for Nat Gas. However, Nat Gas is at support so a lot can happen today and there is a lot of manipulation intraday in these markets. I sold all Nat Gas exposure at the open yesterday ( even though I like the companies medium...

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

We're getting new divergences now. Miners with decent earnings are getting stronger, those without are stuck at low levels. Silver is dong worse then Gold short term suggesting Gold is reacting to the rising inflation stories and Silver is more correlated with broader market direction ( like...

Coming in outta the KOLD ... crushing natural gas

If I traded those etfs, this is where I'd take profits on KOLD and buy BOIL with a stop loss in play if Nat Gas goes lower then today's low. That trade would have worked twice in the last month or two with huge profits. This time, who knows, but if Oil drops tonight it would not surprise me to...

US markets rise to new highs b/c of inflation only!... :-)

You are totally clueless. Correlation does not indicate causation. You don't even know what you mean by "money printing" it's just a conspiracy theory you have.

POLL: Big crash coming this week?

The funny part is it's colder weather where TreeFrogTrader grew up then where I live in Canada. He could have moved here, enjoyed warmer weather, and got a real education.

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

One correction in two years is pretty normal, especially when the correction was a black swan crash. We may get a correction sometime in 2022 ( with two rate hikes expected ). However, if markets continue up anticipating that correction could be a money losing trade. Was there a correction in...

Tentative calling of market top for the next few months?

A lot of the negative "catalysts" the bears on here and lot of financial media dwell on have been really weak for most of 2021. Covid issues were real but mostly first half. And my observation is I rarely see people recognizing the positive catalysts ( e.g, earnings growth, GDP growth ) that...
