Yes, i understand that. Many small profits can and do add up to significant gains. Getting out and re-entering on a pullback? Okay, but how do i know it's going to pullback? I don't think i have the skill to do that.

Definition of sufficiently large? You could look at the cost of trade - might be ONE way of looking at it. Cost of a trade 1-2 ticks (spread) plus commission. So say 2 ticks per contract. A target of 20t, 2 t expense. Expense is 10% of your target. Sounds expensive!!!

Haha, here's an embarrassing story. I once had a trade which went over 200 t in my favour. Not only did i not take the money, i ended up with a loss of 100 t on it! I do need figure something out, it's bugged me for years.

Imho, if the target isn't sufficiently large, what's the point of doing the trade?

You're right, i have a strong notion where a market is headed. Unfortunately it doesn't always go there!!. OTOH, i find it v difficult to take profits. I need to run em to pay for losses and to provide a return on top. My notion on this trade (long from 9540) is that it could hit well beyond...

I just went to look at various commodities' charts - what a shock! Totally changed, awful. A lot of commodities don't seem to exist there any more. The charts are small and naff looking. I've been using Futuresource for over 10 years even putting up with their annoying adverts...
