I am not sure if it make sense to use HFT on forex as forex is slow moving. Perhaps LFT on forex make sense.

Only traders will not be laid off. They cannot be retrenched. They cannot be made redundant. They cannot be obsoleted. Rain or Shine, flood or drought, Covid 19 or Covid 20 or covid 21 ... , their jobs are secured. That is the reason why I am a day trader.

market change direction or market make U turn. Take for example yesterday NQ. first 1 hour when US stock market opened, NQ went down. subsequently price reverse direction, and price went up.

I strongly recommend you focus on price action. Unfortunately I don't have any good book in mind. most of the trading books don't disclose all the vital things about trading.

The problem with investing is that investors (and politicians ) fear big reversal down. Traders don't fear that. In fact, traders welcome that. So very important to know how to day trade. whether market continue to go up or down, or market reverse direction, traders can earn $$$.

we are careful everyday. we don't bother whether price is going up or down or up and down. and we are perfectly OK with continuation and / or reversal signals.

Long term wise, I have no idea where it is going. I doubt it will break the record high. short term wise, I'd avoid trading gold futures. its movement has been rather untrendy / messy. there are other better things to trade actually. I will trade gold when there is nothing else to trade.

I tried doing the survey. unfortunately the survey is not for me. Because I don't bother about earnings details. and I don't read those reports. I just need to know when it will be announced.

There is no such thing as advanced books. trading books can be classified as 1. books for school children 2. books written by unsuccessful traders 3. books written by successful traders even for category 3, most of these books don't talk about timing and when / what not to trade. they...

I presume you like such not strong market ( see your earlier posting about dax) anyway China A50, Hangseng were moving massively, NQ - some movement ( around end of eur session / before start of US session), dax - very little movement.
