This thread has me feeling good with my trading workstation under Win 7 Pro. Rock solid...never crashes. Only issues are dealing with Interactive Brokers crapware.....always a problem with TWS, the API or the Gateway. It's always something with them.

FWIW.....I am having trouble with IB Gateway version 972.1s. Screen is all messed-up when it starts up....no GUI is present. Must be shutdown with Windows Task Manager. I moved up to version 976....to no avail. Same problem. Only thing on the screen is "API Messages" in the upper left corner...

To what does this refer to ?

Totally agree.....albeit volume is still on the light side. Despite that.....I've noticed some impressive moves in the post RTH E-Mini market. I think it really moves with HangSeng futures and the Shanghai live index....and then finally DAX Futures and that live market.

Looks like it's happening NOW. Futures down big this AM...likely because China's market was down nearly 2% today.

I upgraded to IB Gateway version 475...and it worked....sort-of. The GUI was still all messed-up with the screen extending beyond my monitor's boundaries....but it did process the transactions. Wierd, very wierd. I must contact IB Tech support on this tomorrow.

I logged into the router and the only thing I could see related to Wireless was this "bridge mode" setting. Should this be turned on ? Otherwise, the security was set to low....and there were no port settings AFAIK.
