I didn't imply that he acted properly to keep that small amount of cash.....I don't know much about CFD's, but they are probably much less liquid than ES or NQ Futures. Low liquidity coupled with a losing position is a recipe for disaster.....which he experienced.

Got it....you had wishful thinking instead of discipline. Imagine if you had closed the long position and reversed. Dramatically different outcome. Many times I find myself having to immediately reverse my position after getting stopped-out. It's counter-intuitive, but works most times than...

That explains everything. Wow, 5 contracts ? You were really levered to-the-max.....and in the wrong direction. Why did you continue to hold those losing positions thru a great bear move / retracement ? It appears you went "myopic"...long-only thinking.

Dude.....I don't see the "fun" in losing that much money.....that was a 93%+ decline in equity. How did it occur ? Poor win rate ? Huge losing trades (i.e. lack of stops) ?

$1.30 per contract for exchange fee. Applies to non-exchange membership traders. Should be less than $0.50 IMHO.

All of these firms....AAPL, GOOG, AMZN, FB are getting investigated by the FTC. Why isn't the CME Group being investigated ? My gosh...their exchange trading fees are incredble...and there is no competition. This is a huge crock.......somehow they get away with it. How ?

Get with the program..today was all about GOOG, INTL, and AMZN.....the latter report which was poor. The others were stellar. NQ ripped-up at the 6 pm open....no surprise there.

Could have been more patient and waited for larger profits in several trades.

Good price movement today. Took advantage of AH trading in NQ due to earnings of GOOG, INTL, AMZN. It was wild.....

Yepper....thanks for that Overnight. All must have been neutral to negative. I mean NQ dropped 35 pts.....pretty incredible....a big offset to the FB announcement which was hugely positive.

Wild moves down in ES/NQ after the 4:30 pm reopening. I know Ford was responsible for ES...what accounted for the NQ drop ? FB or something else ?

NQ breaks 8000 with conviction....new ATH.

AMD and XLNX also reporting......big effect on NQ. I don't see FB on the list for today....but I do see FORD.

Indeed....the Trump put is in play here....always a possibility of a positive tweet or a news release on the China deal. This won't end anytime soon. Shorts beware.
