Cox should be hanged for X the uptick rule

Stop having an SEC, then ALL problems solved. What a douch-bag bureaucracy it's turned out to be.

    java

Listen up ! I'm with a broker that uses Java exclusively for their platform and I've been asking if I can use Java 1.6 for over 6 months now....and the answer is always: "NO, IT STILL HAS BUGS". HAAALLLOO: Did you notice that the latest and greatest is release 11 !! 11 releases and it's still...

Excel shutting down with IB API

After all of this discussion, I've come up with one conclusion: BAD DATA FROM IB. To debug this, you'll need another DDE client program to be built written in C/C++. With use of Variants and adequate traps, you'll discover the root cause of the problem. Good luck with IB tech support...

Excel shutting down with IB API

Do you have autorecover set to "on" ? If not you should. Any crashes should be "caught" by Excel and you should be prompted to restore from a recovery file upon the next start-up of Excel.

Will you pay 27 bucks to go see Jim Cramer speak on Weds?

Oh I love that comment. Did you notice how they've "dolled her up" recently with a makeover to lose that country-girl look ? I'll take her either way.

    keystone trading group

If this is due to the SEC coming down on them, it could really dramatically reduce prop trading activity. Anyone know for sure ?

Well, $5 per thousand certainly is profitable for them, but for 90% pay-out, it's not that bad....there are many other "worse-deals" out there. I'm surprised they wouldn't let you convert to 20 cents per thou with 50-50 split. I thought that was a standard offering, no ?

    The Surf Report

Surf is bullish..I know, I know...but the logic in my recent post does make some sense...no ? It's based on the 1920-1932 stock market price action: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2191837#post2191837 This logic results in a DOW 2800 level within the next year or two...

UBS offshore tax cheats cut deals to avoid criminal prosecutions

Great, great stuff. What's really interesting is the fact the IRS is "short-handed", yet there are trained and certified fraud specialists who can't find a job (I am one of them !). I don't see Obama resolving this fundamental problem of supplying revenue-producing resources where it really...

What are the arguments by Peter Schiff?

I know, I know...I remember back in the summer 2007 when all stocks were bubbling like crazy, he was bearish. However, it is amazing to note that he was not able to fully capitalize on his own call !!

    MSFT Bigot Fires up Firefox

Omigosh...Firefox is just so sweet. I justed started using it. Good bye IE. BTW: Firefox 3.1 runs javascript 2500 times faster than IE. (that is no typo) Why ? Gates hates everything related to java. So he's always trying to make it look bad. With the newer web interfaces using AJAX...

Very strange. Extensive backtesting research indicates trend-following does not work intraday. Countertrend strategies much more profitable.

    The Surf Report

From my observations Surf, you're always a bit "early". The call on CROX would qualify in that way. I think you are also very early on this call. It looks good in about a YEAR from now. WIth Obama in charge, the very existence of capitalism is in question. Think about it. This is a millenium...
