    The Surf Report

Surf - I think we could still see 600 on the S&P by year's end. Housing prices, lack of credit, high oil prices, and the horrific job market all add up to : great depression deja vue all over again.

Omigosh, does this ever hit home. I quit trading a few years ago, tried to start a business, that didn't work-out, then starting to work temp jobs here and there. WOW, DID THAT SUCK...working hard to feed "FAT CATS" at the agencies who make 3-4 times what I was making. 8-5 = NO FUN INDEED. Now...

    article: Millionnaires Go Missing

The "invisible hand" in action. I was taught economics by a student of Hayek. Most economics taught today is Keynesian....which is flawed. Obama is going to prove that.

My Experience at a Prop Firm

Props don't really support automation very well. Most use the ever-so-awful Sterling platform. Again, most props don't promote auto-trading. They want you to get involved emotionally, so you can trade more. They LOVE revenge trading !

Why is it that the TV pundits never discuss options?

The "somewhat" great Jim Cramer made most of his fortune with options, yet his own show does not promote them...at all. So the big question is : WHY NOT ? And the obvious answer is: It's beyond the grasp of the "masses" of which Jim wants to influence.

My Experience at a Prop Firm

Open discussion of trading ideas, no open criticism of trades gone bad, comraderie, free lunch, topless masseuses every Friday, good tech support, trading contests/events, etc. When I traded at a prop firm, NONE OF THIS EXISTED. Miserable. It was miserable.

A+: Why This Rally Is Not Sustainable & The Huge Role Goldman Has Had In Spurring It

technically speaking: 950 level in the S&P is going to be a critical technical level. It must be breached with high volume however for the bull case to continue. I don't think it's going to happen. This whole rally has been on tepid volume. fundamentally speaking: Unemployment will remain...
