    Floor building at 3030 today, @Buy1Sell2 ?

I have a short bias for the day too and will hold that for as long as we stay below 3050/3058. That said, I know that 3030, being a key technical level, can very well end up being a bottom for the day. So, a bit cautious here.

Yeah. Floor destruction in play here. Headed lower tomorrow.

Another record day - 164 points RTH range. Nothing short of amazing, but not for the faint of heart and quite stressful. At least to me it is.

Could be carving out a bottom here, but I favour another push down as unlikely as it may seem.

2 good hours left. Would be fun if we could see the circuit breakers kick in at 5 % down. That would be 2935.

Seems like the FED didn't cut enough...

Ballsy to go long here for anything other than a counter scalp.

Interesting development. 4 % down at 2965. Looks like another record range in the making.

Yeah. Nailed it. ;) I think we should be finding a bottom in that area for today or even already here at 3023,50. On the other hand - the selling is pretty relentless today and we're ahead timewise, so who knows where they take it by EOD. I'm overall bearish for the medium-term, so I think we...

Chop chop. I had 3015 in mind for the LOD today prior to the Open. Still think we can see a sideways pattern for the next hour or two before making a push down there. Should be good for that as long as we stay below (or not much above) 3110.

Wow. 3 % change in 4 minutes. On the subject of using wide stops... Glad I was flat. Sad I wasn't long.

Huge, but obviously worth it considering the reward. What size stop could you have gotten away with? The afternoon pullback allowed for a fairly decent low risk long entry if one timed it correctly. But for sure - one needs larger stops in this environment.

Fairly huge stops, then. I suppose that's what it takes. I did fairly well 1st 4 days of last weeks using relatively tight stops (3-5 points). Not so well on those today.

Last week we hit a record RTH range of 130 ES points. Just exceeded that by 18,25 points at 148,25. Nice.

It sure is technical, but the counter swings are huge, so have not been very easy for me. I called the 'big picture' for today, but got chopped up this morning and decided to step back. What's your typical stop been?

For sure. Still, I imagine the world must have changed some in the last 100 years. But I'm certainly not the fundamentals/economics guy yet.

I did make the comparison with 1987 this weekend. 1929 seems a bit long back to go...

I'm thinking this pullback should stop around 2990/2980 and that we'll make another push with a new HOD into the closing hour/minutes. EDIT: May not even get that deep a pullback.

@Buy1Sell2 A huge day up was in the cards today anyway. Might even be the weekly low. Does not mean we're done below on the daily in the weeks to come. :)
