Monday (yesterday) was an Up Day closing in the upper part of the range with the prior day being down. The last few times that happened we saw higher prices the next day (Tuesday). :)

No disrespect intended, padutrader, but simply passing a TST Combine after 1000 attempts doesn't amount to success as a day trader. To repeat what you said yourself earlier regarding beginners luck, well, it could still be luck.

I think you missed the point, buddy. I never said that price geometry was not of any value. Specifically, what I said is that there's a huge gap between observing those chart patterns in hindsight and actually trading profitably on such patterns in real time.

Triple top and Inside Day on NQ? Now, that would be weird... :) Let's see if there's not a bit of a juice for a late session pop here.

The CPI releases last fall comes to mind. Up until those, I figured one would be safe going into a news release with a stop in place expecting some slippage of course, but those were some nasty and instantaneous huge drops. I was thinking maybe it's a bot.

How much did you make after your comeback and over how long a period/sample size? Honestly, that's the only relevant metric... :)

LOL. There's a huge gap between seeing these geometric figures on price history as displayed by your charts and actually making money trading the market. Report back when you actually tried it.

Both yes and no. I do think it's a fun and enjoyable game to play, but I don't like being locked down at my screens at specific times every single day if I want to play. For my current life situation swing trading might be a better fit. Since most would be day traders fail, my take is that day...

LOL. No. Success is about what works and how it works. Knowing what doesn't work doesn't necessarily take you any further towards a solution.

Didn’t you throw in the towel at some point? Not sure if the OP or any new would be trader should consider themselves lucky today. It’s a jungle out there with educators who prey on fresh meat like the OP selling the dream for a small or modest sum. More books just mean more potential...

Forget about day trading and stay overwhelmed. Focus on swing trading or investing. Best advice you will ever get and probably won’t take.

I did a similar trade, @theapprentice. NQ broke yesterday's low. Maybe ES will follow suit. In hindsight and for future reference - NQ weakness/lagging on the Open was a clue we'd reverse lower today. Just like yesterday. I had that gap fill as a high probability target, but opening...

I got whipped around on the Open today, but catched a piece of that short with a less than optimal entry. Looking for a bounce in this area if yesterday's close holds, i.e., 4380. Maybe even a full reversal.
