    Forever Bull Market

So, you're making a conclusion based on the last 8 weeks during one of the strongest seasonal windows of the year? That's hardly statistically significant. Also, it's not the first time in history someone says, "This time it's different." I can tell you with 100 % confidence that the US...

    Forever Bull Market

Not sure if you're trolling or not, but since the stock market topped out early 2022, we've had 6 separate corrections exceeding 9 % or more. The latest one from July to October this year at - 10,92 %. Using a larger filter, the entire correction from January 2022 to October 2022 was down -...

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

To be honest, I don't get where you're going at half the time or most of the time. We were discussing NQ making ATHs and now you're going off in a completely unrelated tangent. You always seem to be complaining about your small account and how you're at a disadvantage to everyone else and how...

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

For what it's worth, I've considered selling my own system (methodology + proprietary software), but I think it's too good to give away and I want to see if I can monetize it myself instead. It's a mix of statistical and discretionary trading. Since it's not fully automated (and may not have...

So, in summary, every NQ futures contract in the world, the NDX cash index and even the QQQ ETF made new all time highs, yet @Concinnitys continous contract did not... :) Generally, the cash index is preferred for long term charting as continous time series on futures contract are flawed due to...

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

Agreed. Would be cool if you update us on your ICT studies. Respectfully, I disagree on your last sentence.

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

Since I enjoy playing the devil's advocate, I'll attempt a reply. If you have a really, really good system (and especially if it's a mechanical/automated one) it makes zero sense to give it away or even sell it, unless you were compensated extremely generously. This leaves us with a few...

Nice call indeed, @Buy1Sell2. What a rally this turned out to be.

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

Not quite related to the topic at hand, but some really good stuff here on how trading is rigged against human nature and how even if we know what to do, doing it can be hard. Similar stuff have been said by others, both traders and researchers.

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

William Eckhardt on the subject: Have you looked at outside systems? I’ve looked at about fifty. Out of those fifty, how many had value? One. And I don’t think it had value as a system, but it had an element that I was able to use later. Do you then feel that purchasing systems is a waste...

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

Oh, there's still plenty of 'teachers' here... :) One of my favorite quotes is, "There's no substitute for experience." A mentor can probably fast track your learning by a factor of 10 or even 100, but you still need to rack up that experience and screen time on your own. The problem for the...

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

I had the impression he was offering private mentorship, too. Regardless, if he doesn't or no longer charges anything, that doesn't change anything, IMHO. He's still getting something out of it. There have been and still are plenty of unprofitable gurus on ET as well who loves to 'teach' for free.

Who is (very) successful with the ICT Silver Bullet strategy ?

I don't see anything special. He comes across as the average guru/salesman/scammer to me. Also, I don't see any of his proponents in this thread indicate or show that they have achieved any substantial success with this method which was what the OP asked. Only that they have found some 'value'...

What does James F. Dalton mean by inventory in his book, market in profle?

Well, it seems obvious to me that inventory is the positions held by players in the market.

No worries, buddy. I'm not sure if there's an exact definition of a short squeeze, but I do know that the late session move on Friday doesn't fit my loose criteria as it was a very balanced day and more of range bound session which is typical for triple witching day. The up move was also sold...

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

Triple witching day closes red 80 % of the time and if it's a big mover that's rarely to the upside. I don't think a + 20 point move on an Inside Day qualifies as a squeeze, but nice up move regardless. :)
