    The S&P 500 will top at 3250

Nice call. But where to from here, then? Is this it or is there more downside due...?

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

It's been nearly 5 years since we opened so strongly down on a Monday. My main scenario for today is that we'll find a bottom shortly after the Open and that today's main move will be up and that we'll close higher than we opened. Closing positively (net change) is unlikely, though. Either...

Well done. Let's see how this goes. :)

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

We're currently down 1,67 % from the current top. Friday, the 31st of January, we were down 3,45 % from the current top then and traded 181 points higher to the current top as of now (3393,75). I would not get too excited as a bear just yet. :)

In all fairness, you've been bearish for 7 months or so. That said, I do enjoy your journal and am glad you finally got paid. :)

Subscribed. I've been looking for such a tool myself, but have not yet found one out-of-the box that is worthwhile.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

You know that this thread was actually started in 2007. And we all know what happened not too long after that.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Jeez. Maybe you should bring that up in some other thread. I believe Redneck was quite the legend for a few people here, but I always scrolled quickly past his posts as I got that 'guru vibe'. How did you make out that what he was teaching was not the gospel after all? By the way - did you...

Any real reasons left to go with a desktop / tower over a laptop? (Faster / more powerful perhaps?)

FWIW, my laptop is placed on a rack like this and with the lid half-way open. So, I assume it should be pretty open in all directions: I just had the fan turn on in jet engine mode for a good 20 seconds. I hate it when that happens. But it's now back to quiet mode.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Burned? How so? I do remember the Redneck character. Certainly, there's been quite a few members on this board over the years that have dispensed their 'advice' all too freely and even tried to mentor and lead others without being profitable themselves, i.e., the blind leading the blind. I...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Sure - he usually takes a leave when shit hits the fan, but why is that making you mad? Why do you care? I think this thread is mostly comical, but with some sobering facts as well. I don't really agree with the rest of what you're saying though. There's plenty of people who's shorting this...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Playing in the markets is not really for newbies or uninformed players. Maybe this is harsh, but if someone here is betting the farm trading leveraged products on Rickshaw's posts, maybe they deserve what they get? The market did have a 20% dip during this bull, though. Buying the dip then or...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Jesus Christ. You guys need to lighten up and stop taking yourselves so seriously. This thread is a comical relief and I'm sure @Rickshaw says most of his comments tongue-in-cheek. The fact is that he is mostly right though. This is a strong bull market and dips are being bought. For the...

    The S&P 500 will top at 3250

There's a third option: Staying flat and waiting for a sell signal which confirms it actually is a top. :) There's quite a few of us now who thinks this market is irrational and all that, but the thing is that this market has been that for a long time now. And there's no reason it can't...

Any real reasons left to go with a desktop / tower over a laptop? (Faster / more powerful perhaps?)

It seems to me that it all boils down to your usage. Like I said - I have not had any issues to speak of, but that does not mean I can't benefit from a desktop tower or a more powerful laptop than the one I have now. So, I'm curious - what is it you guys are doing that is causing thermal...

Any real reasons left to go with a desktop / tower over a laptop? (Faster / more powerful perhaps?)

Good thread and good replies. Please let us know what you decide on, @d0rian. I'm a bit in the same situation and seem to have similar needs as the ones you listed. Currently, I'm using a high-end Dell Gaming Laptop with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ 32, SSD drive and 16 GB DDR ram. In the past I...

    Trading the Indices on Fundamentals

Well, did he call the top NOW, then? :) I think it's completely different to state that the conditions for a market top is present and to actual time a top and say this is IT. This has been proven many times now, both by the top pickers on EliteTrader and by other even great traders elsewhere...
