Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Thank you for your post. Simply put - if I understand you correctly - there was a lack of direction on the 5-minute chart? If that's how you define volatility, sure... I don't quite know how you calculate that Excel sheet, but is it simply range per 5 minute bar? If so - how does that sheet...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

We did make history today for sure: Today's RTH range at 130.00 points is officially the largest RTH range in ES history. These are absolute or nominal points. Simply the high/low difference. In terms of points offered, 1230.25 (nearly 10 times the actual range), that makes this day the 6th...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

You should have said that prior to the Open. ;) 6,5 % down over 2 days is fairly rare in recent history, i.e., the last 10 years. Even since 1992 it's happened only 29/6982 trading days. But obviously, it can happen. :) It seems like we may have found a bottom for today. As of now, this is...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Closing in... I'll be honest and say I did not think we'd trade this far down today. It's happened in the past that we've sold off this much 2 days in a row, but it certainly ain't common. As of now, this is the 4th biggest RTH range on ES in history. 4% down is very rare, but it's...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Get rid of the attitude and contribute positively like you just did above (#13602). On the prior post to you I said you were trying to make yourself good. I didn't say it made you look good. Quite the contrary. :) I'm sure you have good stuff to contribute with - so would be glad to actually...

    Open gap at 3172,75.

Another 3 % down takes us down to 3120. It could happen.

Incredible. They're actually allowing it to fall again today after yesterday's strong close down.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Today, then. :) Main scenario for today would be that yesterday's LOD holds with the main move up to circa 3285. Should be interesting if yesterday's Close/LOD does not hold as support and we'll continue the selling lower. Just not the most likely scenario for today, I think?

If we sum up yesterday's micro moves - yesterday offered 600 ES points. That's a lot of points! In fact, only 2 % of days since 2013 matches or exceeds that. Yet, you say that one of the most volatile days for the last 7 years is lame and tame. You would be better of explaining in precise...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

What the hell is it to you, dude? Why are you spending so much time tracking other people and trying to to make yourself look good by trying to make them look bad? Pretty much every other post from you is some derogatory comment. You're certainly not adding value to this forum by the way you...

Care to illuminate us, then? Historically, the volatility of this session so far is well above average. Hence my disagreement with your view. That's not to say there have not been RTH sessions far more volatile than this one. Still...

New LOD on ES, but higher highs/lows on the TICK on this push down and NQ still above its LOD. So, not a clear signal for me that we'll flush lower yet. Very controlled down move so far...

I don't quite get it, but I suppose you have another way of defining volatility than me. What happened here is that the main move happened overnight and that we opened gap down 104,25 points / - 3,12 % - hence the increase in the VIX. 140 points on offer so far looking at the main swings...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Started off well, but should not have traded this far back down with the main scenario as anticipated above. This has not happened very many times in the recent past, so it's a tough one. Will sure be interesting to see what happens if we trade below 3229,50 (current RTH LOD). Levels I've...

Very lame compared with what exactly? NQ? Crude oil? Compared with normal market action in ES - I don't find anything lame or tame with this price action.

75 ES points on offer so far. Wouldn't exactly agree that we're seeing a lack of volatility.

What do you mean it looks weak? Do you have a way of defining that? We're up 30 points from the Open, yes? In recent history we don't have as many similar days to compare with. But the last time 'this' happened, the day closed higher than we opened.

Should be a good buy off the Open (posted already on ES journal pre-open). I don't think this is IT. Not yet. Or is this IT? :)

Targeting 3285 as an upside target for today. If anyone knows why I'm saying 3285, please let me know. :)
